I like taking care of animals especially cats. I also enjoy cuddling any animal I see! I have a lot of empathy for dogs who have been through a lot of tough stuff because I can understand how their behavior can reflect their insecurities. I've trained my old Border Collie and taught him: sit, shake, hug, big shake, down and roll over. My current dog has been trained to sit, wait, stay, down, roll over and hug. I really like cats. I think they are just the cutest. I've cared for my cornsnake for about 4 years.

Vasiliki responded fast to my request on taking care of Tofu! We met up a few days before my requested date to make sure our dogs got along. After seeing how they interacted, she decided to take care of Tofu. As someone who loves their baby, it's important that I get to meet the sitter too so I appreciate that I got to meet the sitter before. She sent me plenty of pictures of her walking Tofu, sleeping with Tofu, and playing with Tofu. I'm so glad I went with Vasiliki! Thank you for taking care of him!

Dropped off my dog a couple hours before catching a plane to Mexico. When I landed later that day I received a text from Vasiliki stating that she no longer felt comfortable watching the dog for the pre-arranged 9 days that I would be out of the country. Vasiliki's dog was initially very territorial and growling when I dropped off my dog, but I overlooked that because I was in a hurry and he's never had an issue with other dogs in the past. This entire debacle caused more trouble than it was worth had I just paid more for a better dogsitter
Vasiliki is just simply wonderful with my puppy dog. Really has an innate ability to connect with him. Always happy to see them play together. Vasiliki takes really good care and I am always secure that he is in great hands.

Schedule
Recently stepped away from job at Austin Animal Center. I have a lot of free time as I'm looking for a new job. Dogs can hang with me at home because I'll be there full time.

I have a fenced back porch and I live in a small fenced community. My dog gets 2 walks a day and enrichment toys/treats. The kitties hang out all day but, they typically won't meet the guest animals because they are skittish.
Pets
A typical day
Going for walks would be a main activity. I will let certain dogs play with toys in the company of each other if they have proved to not resource guard. Otherwise I will separate them for enrichment/play. We'll go on walks around the neighborhood and we can explore some parks if I know the dog isn't super reactive to other dogs. Also depending how hot it is outside! My dog tends to have a lot of energy so he may out-walk some other dogs

- Please tell me if a dog resource guards food or toys. That's really useful to know beforehand to keep everyone safe. No preference on breeds but I really love pitties and they are sweet little angels.
