I’ve spent pretty much my entire life surrounded by animals. Growing up in Greece, my parents and I regularly took in stray dogs and cats and gave them permanent homes. At our peak, we had four dogs and six cats at the same time, most of whom simply walked into our backyard one day and apparently thought, “Yep, this will do!” They never left. Since moving to Austin five years ago, I’ve been pet sitting for friends and, thanks to word of mouth, friends of friends (and eventually people I had never met, which I take as a good sign). I’ve cared for dogs and cats of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, and have been trusted with walks, check-ins, feeding, playtime, and overnight stays. I’m very comfortable around animals and fully accept that while you’re away, your pet is the boss and I’m merely the staff. And yes, that’s Anna, our Westie, in my profile picture. She still lives with my parents in Greece, and whenever I FaceTime them, she is required to appear on screen first. My parents have accepted their place in the hierarchy.

Safety, trust & environment
If your pet loves a routine, I’m your person. I know how much animals rely on familiarity, especially when their humans are away, so I’ll follow their normal feeding, walking, medication, and bedtime routines as closely as possible. I’m active and always happy to go for a long neighborhood walk—or, if you live downtown, your dog and I may become regulars on the trail. But I’m equally committed to the important work of doing absolutely nothing. If your pet prefers couch time, they’re welcome to join me while I read. I’ll handle the book; they can handle the naps. Above all, I’ll treat your home and your pet with the same care and respect I’d want someone to show mine, and I’m happy to send plenty of updates and photos while you’re away.

Vassilis has been an amazing watcher for my dogs whenever I’m out of town! He’s very sweet and attentive with the dogs. My dog has a leg injury and he’s always been very communicative, sending pictures and updates regularly. I definitely recommend Vassilis if you’re looking for a responsible, kind and loving sitter for your fur babies!
I can't say enough good things about Vasileios! He is hands down the best dog sitter we've ever had, and I'm so grateful we found him. River absolutely adores him. The second Vasileios walks through the door, River goes wild with excitement, and you can tell Vasileios loves him right back. Knowing River is with someone who truly cares about him gives me complete peace of mind every time I leave. He's also incredibly easy to communicate with, and he has been amazing about working around my constantly changing travel schedule. No matter how last-minute the change, he makes it work, and I never feel like I'm asking too much. Thank you, Vasileios, for taking such wonderful care of River! We are so lucky to have you, and I'd recommend you to anyone in a heartbeat. 5 stars isn't enough!

Schedule
I’m a graduate student at UT, which gives me a pretty flexible schedule. Even on days when I need to be on campus, I often come home during my lunch break. My days usually start around 6 a.m. with a workout and wind down around 10 p.m. with a book in bed, so I’m happy to accommodate both early risers and pets who take their beauty sleep very seriously. Walks, playtime, meals, check-ins, and plenty of attention can easily fit into my daily routine.
