Pet sitting is not just something to bring in an extra income but something that brings real joy, happiness, and fulfillment to my life. While having an animal for me, every single day isn’t realistic unfortunately ,I find that the ability to do this periodically throughout the year and to be around animals is very rewarding . This also gives me the ability to focus entirely on your animal and the comfort they need when family is away.

Safety, trust & environment
I did security for nine years and have a level one fingerprint clearance card. I will treat your home with respect and when watching animals and my own home, I do not watch multiple animals from different households to ensure that no issues were to ever arise in a negative altercation. I do have a preference of housesitting at clients homes due to just the comfortability of the animals environment not changing. They tend to already have a little bit of anxiety with the owner, leaving and changing their environment can sometimes for some animals heighten that anxiety.

I like to know quirks, as well as cautions. I do typically prefer meeting the animal in person before sitting, but I understand that’s not always an option provided, but I do think that it’s important because it provides a safe space ,builds familiarity when entering a home.
A typical day
I enjoy finding different activities to take animals to based off of personality and information that’s given to me. I also take into account what the owners preferences and restrictions are, of course. Some people do not enjoy their animals going to dog parks as sometimes they do feel that it can provide a higher risk of injury, as well as sickness while some encourage it. There are animals that love water,while there’s some that don’t and some dogs have to play fetch with a frisbee vs a ball , it’s all about getting to know your animal and being able to tailor the activities to each one just like with people.

I like to understand an animals personality, and created a trusted bond. I am willing to do whatever silly thing your animal requires to feel safe and loved. Vannessa has watched my dogs and they love her. Every time she comes over they are excited. She plays with them, loves on them, and makes sure to feed my pets only the things I ask. She has given them their medication as expected too. I would trust her to watch my doggies anytime.
Very reliable!! takes care of my 2 box turtles and very large dog when my family goes on vacation. Very much, appreciate her communication style and the approach is understanding , she really try’s to work with people on their time preferences and the needs of their pets. She understands that an animal is an extension of your family and cares for them as such.
