What sets me apart from other sitters is my compassionate experience with dogs, especially senior dogs. Growing up with dogs, volunteering at shelters, and dog sitting, have given me a lifelong understanding of their care. For 3 years I worked as a veterinary care coordinator with Lap of Love, a mobile in-home end of life care service. In my role, I assisted families through emotional and challenging situations during the end of life journey, helping them navigate decisions and providing support during a difficult time. My work has given me invaluable insight into the unique needs of pets. My experience has only strengthen my empathy, patience, and commitment to giving each pet the best possible care. I am dedicated to ensuring your pets feel safe, loved, and cared for, just as I would for my own.

Vanessa was great - our first time leaving our 8 year old terrier mix with her and we felt totally comfortable and at peace the whole time. From meeting Vanessa you can tell she’s extremely processional, knowledgeable, and compassionate; asking all the right questions to ensure the best stay for your pet and the easiest time away for you. She sent plenty of pictures and provided updates over the course of her stay. Our dog even shamelessly got right into bed and snuggled with Vanessa all night 😂 We will definitely reach out to Vanessa again!

Schedule
I am currently working from Sunday - Thursdays from 8am - 5pm or from 10pm - 7pm. I work as a pet loss grief coach and have sessions throughout the day.

Safety, trust & environment
I will follow safety guidelines provided by the pet’s family. I will make your pet’s safety my outmost priority. I would prefer to speak to the family via phone or zoom before committing to care.
A typical day
I love to stimulate pets physically and mentally if able, always ensuring their safety and comfort. I can take them on walks, play their favorite games with their favorite toys, take them to the coffee shop down the corner, and explore the neighborhood.
