I work from home as a marketing writer so it's quiet and calm; and I typically feed most pups two meals a day and take them on 3-4 walks around the neighborhood, sometimes separately depending on their energy level. I also ask that owners write down instructions regarding meals, routine and meds.

I prefer crate-trained pups so I can give them breaks to rest during the day or for when I run errands so I can keep them separated and safe. I have a camera to watch the dogs while I'm out. I like to know what sort of shots your dog has had and if they have any challenges.
A typical day
I have lots of dog toys and allow the pups to play together monitored. I send photos and text message updates every day--I have a park nearby that I can take the dogs but often owners want their dogs to stick close to my home.

I've taken care of dogs since I was a child. My first dog was a Labrador, and he was so patient and kind with us kids growing up. After that, I had mostly small dogs, a Shitzu, a Wirehair Fox Terrier and two Italian Greyhounds. As an adult, I started crate training my dogs and have also litter boxed trained them--and follow a routine of walking, eating and playing. I currently work from home so I'll have plenty of time to care for, play with and walk your dog. It's a joy for me to have fur friends all around. I live in a dog-friendly, secure building with 1.5 and 4.5 year old Italian Greyhounds (8 and 12 pounds) so your dog would have friends to hang out with.

Vanessa did an amazing job dog sitting my French Bulldog, Pascal. She sent many photo updates throughout the stay and kept me in the loop of how he was doing. Her little dog Everest was also very sweet and nice to Pascal. Would highly recommend Vanessa.
Vanessa took great care of our beloved dog, Lucca, for the weekend. She quickly responded to our request for booking, followed through on all our care requests to the letter, and sent pictures and updates on Lucca through his stay. We knew Lucca was safe and in great hands! As a plus, Vanessa’s little dog is friendly and sweet, gracefully sharing his home with Lucca. 10/10 recommend!! Vanessa’s got you covered ??
