Hi, I’m Vanessa! While I’m new to Rover, I’m definitely not new to caring for dogs. I’ve grown up around them, had my own pup when I was younger, and regularly babysit my sister’s dogs — including walks, playtime, feedings, and lots of snuggles. I also grew up with a Labrador mix who had epilepsy, which taught me early on how to care for a dog with medical needs. Giving him his seizure medication every day was part of our routine, and I always made sure he took it on time and felt comfortable afterward. That experience helped me develop patience, consistency, and gentle care — qualities I bring to every pet I look after today. I know how important it is to feel at ease when someone else is looking after your furry family member. That’s why I make sure every dog in my care feels safe, happy, and loved. Whether your pup enjoys active walks or prefers a cozy cuddle, I’ll make sure they get the attention they deserve. Vanessa absolutely adores animals and she has an energy that makes any pet she meets bond with her right away. My dog Pablo looks forward to visiting her and automatically relaxes around her, when he is usually stressed in other people's homes. Alongside of her loving nature she is also very professional and will find out all of your pets quirks and needs to make sure you feel secure with them under her care. I highly recommend Vanessa!
Vanessa has taken care of my animals many times, and I’ve always been impressed with how attentive, caring, and reliable she is. She’s patient, trustworthy, and truly loves animals, which is why I think she’d make an excellent dog walker. Any dog would be lucky to have her.

Schedule
I’m a full-time Rover sitter, so my schedule is very flexible! Feel free to send me a request and we can chat about your pet’s needs and find what works best. Here’s a general idea of what I can offer: Early morning, lunch & evening walks: 30 minutes–1 hour, depending on your dog’s needs and energy level. Drop-in visits: I’ll make sure your pet gets some attention, playtime, food and fresh water, along with any additional care they need, including medication or special routines. Overnight stays: Available when you’re out of town, either at my place or in your home, depending on what works best for you and your pet.

I always make sure pets are in a safe, secure environment — whether I’m visiting your home or caring for them in mine. I take the time to understand each pet’s personality and needs so they feel comfortable and cared for. I have experience with animals that need extra attention; for example, my sister’s dog is anxious and requires specific petting instructions and a strict feeding routine. I follow directions closely, keep a calm and positive atmosphere, and make sure pets are never left in unsafe situations. My goal is always to make them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away.
A typical day
A typical day with your pet will include their usual feeding and bathroom breaks, plenty of playtime, and activities suited to their personality — whether it’s energetic walks, playing with toys, or simply relaxing together. My goal is to keep them happy, comfortable, and engaged while you’re away.
