Pet care experience
I used to be an animal rescuer!
I was an animal rescuer from 2013 until 2020. I fostered dogs and cats, was in charge of their medication, care and overall of them overcoming their abuse. I have experience dog sitting and cat sitting for clients in DC. Love pets and to take them outdoors on long walks if that is allowed. I work from home.

Vanessa was absolutely amazing!! She cared for our dog, took him for walks, and kept him active. She sent us so many pictures of Bleu and always gave us updates. She is truly a dog person, and you can tell she knows what she’s doing and has great experience. We travel often, and Vanessa is our number one sitter. She even gave us advice on good treats and toys to use for our dog’s breed.

Vanessa was wonderful with my dog Buttons! She sent pictures everyday! Buttons had so digestive issues one of the days and she knew exactly what to do! She took very good care of him and let me know through out the day how he was doing. He had plenty of loving, walks and play time. I am so thankful that I found Vanessa! I could enjoy my vacation and didnt have to worry about Buttons, knowing that she was looking after him, especially when he was not feeling good that day. Her apartment is adorable and very clean. Buttons loves her!❤️

Vanessa continues to do a great job watching our little puppy Remi! She sends constant text messages/ photos throughout the day which we greatly appreciate. Highly recommended her to watch your dog!

Vanessa is great to work with! She’s super prompt and friendly. She was amazing to our puppy Remi. She had dog toys for a Remi to play with and did a great job of sending us photos / updates throughout the day!

It’s always hard to leave your pet behind but Vanessa sent lots of updates on my dog to help ease the stress of being away. She would always ask before she gave him any treats or food and made sure to give my dog his medication. She bonded so well with my dog and gave him lots of exercise. I felt very safe and trusted her in that she would make sure my dog was happy and healthy.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I don’t have pets of my own right now and don’t board more than two pets at the time. I rather dedicate my full attention to one or two pets so I know they are getting the best care. I have a security camera (if you allow me to use it) so I could monitor your pet is doing well if I am outside. I have doors in every room and I am careful not letting pets be around human food to avoid allergies.
A typical day
I love running and long walks, I have a courtyard and two big dog parks near my apartment. I have enrichment toys because I understand how important is for pets to be mentally and physically stimulated.
