Fetch, Snuggles, & Safe Stays

Loving Care on 2.5 Acres – Serving Ridgecrest & Inyokern. I’ve been pet sitting for several years and have cared for pets with all kinds of needs — from seniors who need a little extra help moving around safely, to dogs and cats that require daily medications, to puppies who need 24/7 attention and training. I also have firsthand experience with separation anxiety, since one of my own dogs struggles with it, so I understand the extra patience and care these pets need. I recently moved back to Ridgecrest after living in Arizona for two years, where I also did Rover. Now I’m settled on 2.5 fully fenced acres and excited to welcome pets again! My partner has a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Behavior, worked as a veterinary receptionist for 2 years, and is now becoming groomer certified. She is very patient and loves animals as much as I do. Together, we’re dedicated to making sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. My Home & Pets I have three dogs: two older ones who don’t interact with Rover bookings, and a playful 1-year-old mini poodle who loves fetch and making new friends. For safety, I always keep collars on when pets are outside and use leashes for outdoor time. What to Expect When your pet stays with me, they’re treated like my own family. I make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and secure while you’re away — whether that means extra playtime, snuggles, or just being patient with their routines.

Vanessa and Athena are amazing!!! I’m in California for work for a few weeks and have my dog, Sola spend the day and some nights with Vanessa and her partner, Athena. Sola loves going to daycare and jumps out of car excited, as I drop him off each morning. Vanessa and Athena have been incredibly flexible and generous with their time, schedules, as well as offer other helpful services like grooming and wellness checks. I’m so grateful for them and Sola is too! :)

Vanessa was available when our other Rover cancelled, and was flexible about drop off and pick up times! Luna had a great time there.

Schedule

I work from home some days and go into the office for a few hours on others. When I’m home, I let my dogs out multiple times a day and can easily keep your pet on their normal routine. If I do need to step out, pets are kept safe — I typically crate when appropriate and use a Furbo camera to keep an eye on them. Since my workplace is only 12–15 minutes away, I’m never gone for long and can get back quickly if needed

Safety, trust & environment

Pets staying with me are treated like family. I keep them on their normal routine with scheduled feedings, potty breaks, play, and snuggles. For safety, collars stay on and I always use leashes outside, even with 2.5 fenced acres. If I step out briefly, pets are safely crated (if that’s part of their routine) and monitored with a Furbo camera.

Pets

A typical day

love keeping pets active and happy! We’ll play fetch, tug, and chase games in my fenced yard, enjoy leashed walks outside for fresh air, and spend time snuggling inside. For dogs that love toys, I rotate different ones to keep them engaged, and for seniors or calmer pets, I provide gentle play and lots of cozy downtime. Every activity is tailored to your pet’s energy level and personality.

Please let me know about your pet’s routine, feeding schedule, medical needs, and any medications. I also like to know if they have special needs (such as mobility issues or separation anxiety), crate training preferences, and how they get along with other dogs. The more I know about their personality and habits, the better I can make them feel at home.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
