Update August 2026: books are now open I was previously living in the Halifax area. While I miss my former clients I am excited to meet new furry friends! ************************************ As a dedicated, empathetic, and nurturing pet caregiver, I prioritize your pet's well-being. Your pet will experience a safe and loving environment, giving you the freedom to focus on work or to unwind with peace of mind. I respect your home and value your trust. No matter the size or personality, I am comfortable and have experience with both dogs, cats, and even snakes! Your pet's safety is my top priority. I understand that every pet is unique, with individual quirks and preferences. So, if your furry friend requires specific instructions or has any special needs, consider it done! I take pride in following your guidelines to a tee to make sure your pet receives the care they deserve. I completed the St. John Ambulance pet first aid course November 2020 and the Walks 'n' Wags Pet First Aid course December 2023, and am registered for another to update my learning this fall. I am comfortable and have experience with injectable medications if required.

I aim to be as flexible as possible and accommodate when I can. I do Rover on the side because I love spending time with animals.

Safety, trust & environment
I understand that leaving your pets in someone else's care can be scary, and I want to assure you that your peace of mind is just as important to me as the well-being of your pet(s). I share your concerns, as I also worry about my own pets in the same way. Before our walks, I double-check that collars, harnesses, and leashes are securely fastened. When leaving your home, I am sure to lock all doors to keep your home safe. To keep you informed, I provide detailed reports and share pictures after each service. I want you to feel safe and confident that your pets are receiving the best care possible.
Pets
A typical day
Walks: We'll take on-leash walks along trails and throughout the neighborhood. I like to bring a (clean) collapsible water dish during hot days and a new bottle of water to keep your pup hydrated if needed. If it's extra hot out, we can always do a potty break and play inside, or whatever you think is best. Drop-ins: Fresh food/water, litter box maintenance, playtime, and potty breaks. Consider it done. If required, I can assist with small house care tasks like taking in packages or watering plant (I'm also a plant mom). I will double-check doors/windows are locked and any additional instructions you provide will be followed. Boarding services are very limited, but when those books are open, I accept only dogs without a prey drive (I have cats). Meet and Greets are required. I do have a fenced in back yard.
