Trustworthy pet and human parent
I’ve taken care of dogs and puppies since our family dog had her first litter on my 11th birthday. I also have experience with cats, rabbits, hamsters, and Guinea pigs. My own dog passed last year, so no dogs in the home at the moment, but there is a dog in the basement suite who is very friendly and available to play in the shared backyard.

Our dog Ruby seemed to feel comfortable right away at Vanessa’s. Her house is calm and Vanessa looked after Ruby very well. We were happy with our new sitter!
Addie came home very happy after a weekend with Vanessa and she was very clearly well taken care of :)
Vanessa took amazing care of my dog. Matter of fact, I think Pam wants to go back! I got photos and updates and at no point was I worried about my dog. In my rush to pack up for the week I miscalculated how much dog food to send and Vanessa didnt hesitate to fix my mistake and go get her some more. Great family home and my dog got to be exposed to a younger kid who knows how to approach new dogs and read body language. From the first meet and greet to drop off and pick up I knew my dog was in great hands. Would 100% recommend and will be asking Vanessa next time I need a sitter.
Vanessa gave Marco such a fantastic staycation while we were in the city for medical reasons. He was well loved and cared for at her home. Would definitely book here again when we return in the future.
Vanessa was great! She was so calm and reassuring with my anxious and reactive dog. I would recommend her to anyone.
Vanessa did a great job looking after my anxious dog Charlie. He had a great time with her! I definitely recommend Vanessa. She was attentive to his needs, took him for walks and to the dog park. Gave him treats and so much loving. She even sent me a little video of him exploring outside. I'll definitely be using her services again. 100% recommend!

Schedule
I’m currently working part time, so am offering boarding on the days I’m at home to offer the best care for your pets. When I am working, my shifts are 6 hours at the most, and if that works for your needs I can also offer those days (Wednesdays and Thursdays).

Safety, trust & environment
I have lots of experience with anxious dogs, leash reactive dogs, and senior dogs. I have a fenced yard, shared with a friendly lab/collie mix who loves to play fetch. Pups are welcome on the couches and I have a dog bed in my bedroom for overnight.
A typical day
Play time in the backyard, at least one walk to the local Puppy Pub in my neighbourhood (friendly couple who puts out treats and fresh water for the local dogs), a visit to a nearby off leash park if we’re both comfortable with it, and lots of pets and snuggles on the couch in between.
