Once again, Poe had a great week’s stay with Vanessa and Pepper! He’s a senior, has his quirks and needs medication. We were able to enjoy a vacation knowing he was in her expert care. I know he’ll be happy to see them again :)
Vanessa is the first pet sitter we have tried since moving out of state and we feel very lucky we found her. She is very caring and loving and her house and yard are very well suited for safety and comfort. Both Princess and I felt comfortable after our meet and greet. Princess had an excellent day there with Vanessa and her pup Pepper who is a very sweet and good boy! I highly recommend Vanessa and will definitely be booking more stays with her!
My dog, Poe, and I had an excellent experience with Vanessa. I had read her reviews and she sounded like a perfect fit: responsible, professional, caring and a good communicator. And she was! Plus, her dog Pepper was an adorable, easygoing pal for Poe during his week stay at her home. I’m relieved to have found her. It will make trips for us so much easier :)
Benji loves going to Vanessa’s! She takes wonderful care of him, sends great updates, and I never worry about him while he’s there.
This was my first time using Rover and leaving my sweet Phoebe with anyone outside of friends or family. Vanessa and her wing-pup Pepper put my fears at ease. Vanessa kept me posted throughout the stay with updates and pictures. Pepper kept Phoebe entertained with plenty of play. I believe Phoebe had a great time. Thank you so much Vanessa (and Pepper).
We used Vanessa's dog boarding service to house our mini-schnauzer Mika over Labor Day Weekend, and Vanessa is simply PAWSOME!!! Vanessa and her terrier Pepper welcomed Mika with open arms, and my daughter and I literally never looked back as we drove off to family wedding festivities in Portland. Vanessa is communicative, kind, responsible, loves pupsters and documented our pup's stay with pictures galore. She has a great big yard for dogs to sniff and run around in. We had to change our pickup time, and Vanessa accommodated the change without a hitch. We highly and enthusiastically recommend using her services. Schedule
My pup and I do pretty much whatever we want, whenever we want. I have a flexible work schedule and am often at home, so can accommodate desired potty break and walk times, medications, preferred activities (beach, dog park, hanging out at the house.) My pup is always ready for company and activity, but knows when it’s time to relax.

I live in a private house set far back from the street, with a large, well kept (but unfenced) 1.5 acre yard. My dog, Pepper, is an extremely social, playful, but chill and well-behaved 6 year old neutered Jack Russell mix. He loves playtime with other dogs, but is respectful of the quieter styles of older dogs or dogs just needing rest. I have a comfy crate suitable for small to medium dogs (if you crate), lots of toys, and lots of time to engage with your sweetie. The area surrounding my home is safe and quiet, with many options for woodland walks. I live near dog-friendly beaches and the Saco river, so splashing is an option, too! If your dog has good recall, I can provide off-leash time in the 1.5 acre yard. I have a front porch with a protective gate to keep the sunbathers from getting out, and lots of space for indoor play time and resting as well.
