Hello! I have been taking care of animals since I was very little and have over 10 years of experience. I currently have 2 large dogs of my own and have owned other dogs and small animals in the past. And while I haven’t owned them, I have taken care of cats and reptiles in the past as well. I previously worked at a dog daycare for 3 years, and I’m currently working at a veterinary hospital. In working at the daycare I have experience working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from Great Danes and Pitbulls to Chihuahuas and Dachshunds, and working at the vet has given me much more insight into animal care as well. I have experience with the following: senior pets, handicapped dogs, anxious pets, epileptic dogs, medications, and training puppies. I know how stressful it is to leave your pets so I pride myself in giving the same kind of care I would want my own fur babies to have.

I pride myself in giving the same kind of care I would want my dogs to receive. At this time I am not offering boarding in my home, but I am more than willing to stay at your home (with potential overnight stays if needed). I find that dogs are less stressed when they stay at home rather than at a strangers house. That being said, I always make time for cuddles and other activities to try to keep your pets at ease so that going on a trip is just as relaxing for your pets as it is for you.

Vanessa was fantastic! I found her on Rover and hired her to feed my cat everyday while we were out of town. Not only was she great with my cat, she showed up when she said she would, and she communicated well and responded quickly. I plan to use her services again next time we’re out of town!
Vanessa was absolutely wonderful! She clearly has a lot of experience with dogs and our pups immediately felt comfortable with her at our meet and greet. Vanessa was great with our cats as well, letting them take the lead in warming up to her. Vanessa is extremely responsive and sends updates. She took great care of our pets - we could tell the pets got a ton of attention and exercise! We would 100% ask her to pet sit for us again!
Vanessa has been a reliable, loyal, loving pet caregiver for several years. She loves animals, especially dogs, and always treats them with love and kindness as if they are her own. She will and has made several trips throughout the day to feed, exercise and let our dogs out while we go on trips or long weekends for kid functions. She even stays the night in our home overnight as 1 of our dogs has anxiety when left alone overnight and has been taking care of our dogs for us for the past 3+ years when needed. I do not hesitate to contact her when needed to love and care for our dogs while we are gone as we know they are in good hands.
If you’re looking for a forever pet sitter I would highly recommend Vanessa! She is so loving and caring with animals, dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, rabbits… you name it! She is more than a pet sitter, she is your pets friend too. She cares for them like family.

Schedule
I currently work part time during the summer, so I will have plenty of time to help out with your pets! During the fall and winter I attend college and work. I will still be available during those times, my availability just may be slim. Note: I work 6-8 hour shifts on my work days so potty breaks on days I work would be would be at least that far apart plus travel time
