I've taken care of animals for the last 15 years of my life. It started as a neighborhood gig when I was in high school, that turned into my cash flow during college. After college I missed being with sweet animals every day so I've kept up the gig part time. My specialty is geriatric dogs, from daily pills to end of life care. I've also taken care of several older dogs with dementia. Giving animals the most comfortable route to the rainbow road brings me such joy! With that being said, I also love younger and middle aged pets, all ages are welcome here. Additionally, I'm a huge hiker and biker so if your animal needs to put miles on to feel tired, I'm your girl. I have no problem going on a several mile hike (maximum 10mi/ hike) or bike ride (maximum 20 mi/ ride).

Vanessa is the best! After having a delay returning home, she was able to add on another night with my pets very last minute. They were well cared for, happy, and safe while in her care. It’s so nice to travel knowing my pets are in good hands!

Vanessa was great with Roo on our first ever Rover sit. She was communicative when needed and made sure his needs were met while I was out of town.
Unfortunately not the best experience, although Vanessa is very nice, got minimal communication and only 1 photo over 5 days although we requested more. Not the care and time we expected or discussed and constantly had to reach out with concerns and check ins. She took hours to respond and our pets seemed to be left alone for longer periods of time. Our neighbors kept reaching out because they didn't see anyone here or any lights on, just not a good fit for us or our dogs.
Vanessa watched our two dogs and cat for a week. She was great, all the pets were super happy and calm when we got home and house was very clean. Would highly recommend Vanessa.

I just got laid-off so I am fully available to take care of your sweet pets! I travel between Central Oregon and the Bay area in California so just reach out to me with dates and I'll probably be able to make it happen.

My roommate has two cats, and we do not have a fenced in yard so sadly I do not offer boarding at my apartment. When it comes to staying at the clients home I'm very strict about following their rules and guidelines for pet care AND home care. I'm a very clean person and always leave a home feeling fresh and clean for the client to come home to.
Pets
A typical day
Depends on how energetic the dog is. I love to go on hikes to a dog park or open field for some fetch, running around, and good ol doggy socialization. I like to find parks near a water source like a river or lake for some swimming as well. If dogs are super energetic we can hop on a bike trail for some extra miles!

- Let me know if your animals have any special medications, or dietary needs while I'm watching them. Or if the animal has any sort of disability, or incurable disease like dementia.
