I work part time from home remotely, so I have plenty of time to check in on your dogs or cats throughout the day. I am available for long walks, lots of playtime—whatever is necessary to make your pet happy! I am a very active person, so I love to be outdoors and on my feet, so I will never tire of spending time with your pet whether it's indoors or outdoors. I am a Los Angeles native, so I know the best streets to take your pup on for the best, safest adventure!

A typical day
If it's a dog you want me to care for, we will take long walks around their neighborhood, allow them to take in all the familiar or new smells, or take them to a park to explore if that is something you are okay with. I can walk them wherever they want to go and also play any games at home with toys they have or like. If it's a cat, there are so many ways to keep your cat stimulated. Playing with them with their toys, playing chase, allowing them to look out windows, talking to them, and taking them on walks in a carrier or harness if that is something you do for your cat.

Pet care experience
I love all animals, no matter their age, size, breed, demeanor, history. I have had 2 dogs in my life, a chihuahua terrier mix and a chocolate lab (both have passed due to old age). I currently have two cats, one 7-year old tabby and one 3-year old black kitty. I also feed and care for stray cats in my community. I love animals so much, I carry cat and dog treats in my purse in case I meet a hungry friend along the way. I play with my own cats for at least 1.5 hours per day, often taking my adventurous tabby on walks on his harness and stimulating them with toys, catnip, walks, and secure, supervised access on our catio. I would love to care for your pets the way I do for mine. I started doing Rover because I love animals, and while I love my children (cats) so dearly, I want to help other pet owners find secure, safe, and reliable care for their children while they are away. I myself only entrust my cats with people I know, love, and trust, so I want to offer the same peace of mind for other pet lovers who don't have the luxury of having people they know to love and care for their animals.

Vanessa was the best rover sitter we ever hired. We hired her over Christmas and she took such good care of our dog. She came and spent so much time with her, took her on walks, gave her her medicine, and helped keep our house tidy while we were gone. We definitely cannot recommend enough.
Vanessa was fantastic. I was nervous to leave my kitty for over a week during the holidays, but he did great the entire time we were away, because of her care! She was super helpful and made me feel at ease with the report & photos from every visit. Will definitely be requesting her again in the future.
