I’ve loved animals my whole life and when I was 8 my parents brought home an abused 4 month old cocker spaniel we named Murphy and I loved caring for her through her old age. I learned all about walking, playing, grooming, giving meds, feeding and everything else during her almost 20 years. I was the primary person to give our dog her meds, ear drops, and brushing, even as a kid. In my 20’s I rescued a 4 month old kitten and she was my bff for the next 17 years. So, I have plenty of experience with day-to-day care as well as dealing with emergencies and ultimately, elder care. Other than regular giving of medications, I learned how to give her subcutaneous fluids when she was older. Of course, I’m fine with cleaning litter boxes and any other messes and also fine to feed stinky food if it’s the kind they eat :) I love to play with your pets, cuddle, brush…or even just give them space if that’s their preference. I always take their lead when it comes to handling them because their comfort and safety is my highest priority.
