Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine since I have a dog of my own. I am currently transitioning from working as an RN to pursuing another technical degree, which is fully online, so I will be home full-time. This allows me to spend quality time with your dog throughout the day. Walks, bathroom breaks, playtime, and attention are built into my day, and I adjust my schedule to ensure I am home with your dog as much as possible. Whether your pup enjoys outdoor play in the fenced yard, lounging inside, or just some company and cuddles, I’m able to provide consistent care and supervision all day. I aim to follow each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while staying with me. Your dog’s day will be structured around both fun and relaxation, with plenty of interaction and attention to make them feel at home. Late Pick-Up / Extended Care 2–8 hours late: ~50% of nightly rate 8+ hours late: full additional night may apply No-call/no-show late pickups may require overnight extension

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fenced yard where dogs can safely enjoy outdoor time, play, and take bathroom breaks. Inside, dogs are treated like part of my family and can relax comfortably in the home, including the couch and beds (if allowed). I also have a crate available if your dog is crate trained or prefers having their own cozy space. I always try to follow each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and at ease during their stay. When boarding with me, I plan my schedule so I can be home with your dog as much as possible and avoid leaving them alone for long periods of time. I also tend to spend a lot of time outside, especially on nice days, often relaxing on the patio with friends, so being outdoors with the dogs for a good portion of the day is very normal here.

A typical day
A typical day with me is full of fun and attention! We start with a walk or some yard time, then mix in play: fetch, tug, stuffy toys to keep pups busy and happy. On nice days, we hang out on the patio soaking up the sun, and inside there’s plenty of cuddles, naps, and belly rubs. I follow each dog’s usual routine for meals and potty breaks, so they feel comfortable, safe, and loved all day long.

Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Vanessa, a Registered Nurse and a lifelong dog person and belly-rub enthusiast. I grew up with many dogs, so muddy paw prints, squeaky toys, zoomies and eye boogers are just part of life for me. My home is kid free but very dog-friendly, which basically means dogs get a lot of attention and are treated like the VIPs they clearly believe they are. I also have my own fur babies, Kyanite, a 9 year old blue heeler who reminds me daily that dogs are way smarter than we think. From being her mom, I've come to the belief that dogs truly understand english. I also have a very mellow 10 year old cat named Timber. She is a professional relaxer. I don’t have any official dog care certifications, but I do have a lifetime of hands-on experience and a very strong track record of telling dogs they’re “the best dog ever” approximately 400 times a day. They truly are the best! Whether your pup loves long walks, couch cuddles, or just someone to hang out with while you’re away, I’m happy to make them feel safe, comfortable, and right at home for the day or the whole week. Because at the end of the day, dogs aren’t just pets… they’re our children🐕 Feel free to reach out if you think we’d be a good fit. Kyanite and I would love to meet you and your doggo.
Reviews

I had a good amount of anxiety going in about leaving my dog with a sitter I didn't personally know for 8 days - this was the first time this dog would be boarded without any of her siblings and for a longer amount of time than I've been away before. But Vanessa helped me feel confident that she would take great care of Peaches! And she did! I so appreciated the daily picture(s) and little updates letting me know things were fine. I could tell Peaches enjoyed her stay and was well loved. She got lots of outside time, which she loves, and most importantly she was safe and sound the whole time! Thank you Vanessa for taking such wonderful care of Peaches!

Vanessa is so attentive to our puppies needs and make sure he is always well taken care of!

Vanessa did a great job with my labs. She was always on time and sent lots of playful photos of the dogs playing with their toys. Thanks Vanessa

Beau really enjoyed his time with Vanessa. She was responsible and accepted a last minute request. She does care alot aboit the dog. Knowing that the garden is fully fenced is a plus. Thank you.
