A loving home from home.
I have lots of hands on experience caring for dogs through having my own Border Collie. He is a big part of our family, so I understand how important it is for dogs to feel safe, comfortable and cared for when they are away from their owners. I’m used to daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, cuddles and keeping a close eye on a dog’s behaviour and needs. I’m patient, caring and responsible, and I know that every dog has their own personality and routine. I also have a cat at home, so I would always discuss this with owners beforehand to make sure their dog is comfortable around cats and that the arrangement is suitable for everyone.

Vanessa looked after my Australian Shepard in August when we had a family emergency. We felt very lucky to know he was in such good hands with Vanessa and her family. Our dog was very loved and cared for and I could tell he was very happy and relaxed from the updates and photos I received. I will definitely be using Vanessa’s services again in the future.
Vanessa looked after our dog while we were away on holiday and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her. She’s so kind and friendly and absolutely brilliant with dogs. We felt completely at ease knowing our dog was in such good hands and being really well looked after while we were away.

Schedule
I’m available for dog boarding mainly at weekends, during school holidays and half-term breaks. I’m flexible and will always discuss availability with you before accepting a booking. I’m happy to provide a calm, loving home-from-home environment where your dog can feel comfortable, included and well cared for.

I have a secure, enclosed garden and a loving family home where your dog can become part of the family during their stay. I live with my husband and two teenage boys, as well as our own dog and our cat. My husband works from home, so he may be around during your dog’s stay, but I will be solely responsible for their care and supervision. I understand that every dog is different and will take the time to understand their personality, routine and individual needs. I’ll follow their usual feeding instructions and provide plenty of supervision, affection and enrichment. Your dog’s safety, comfort and happiness will always be my priority, and I’ll make sure introductions are handled carefully and at a pace that suits each individual dog.

A typical day
A typical day includes morning walks, playtime, enrichment, cuddles and plenty of company, followed by rest, garden time and another walk later in the day.
