New to Rover, but not new to pet care! I’ve had dogs and cats at home my entire life and have spent two years pet sitting for four large dogs. I’m also a proud dog mom to a sassy, slightly reactive dachshund, which has taught me the importance of patience, calm energy, and being aware of each dog’s unique triggers and needs. I always prioritize safety, trust, and making pets feel comfortable and cared for.

When caring for pets in their home, I follow each owner’s instructions to provide safe, comfortable, and consistent care. On walks, I stay alert to my surroundings and prioritize calm, safe leash handling for every dog. I will treat your pet like if it is my own.

Vanessa is the best.. navigated my building really well, handled everything for my dog while I was on vacation, sent plenty of updates, I never had to worry about a thing; will absolutely choose her again in the future!
Vanessa is so sweet with my pets! Whenever I go out of town, I leave my dog with her and she’ll stop by and check in on my cat.
