The Pet RN ~ Caring for your Dog!
Leaving a pet in a kennel can be one of the most stressful situations for a pet owner - including myself. This prompted me to take my love of animals, combined with a large property -and a desire for change in my work life as an ICU nurse to begin a "small batch" boarding business. "Small" in numbers of dogs per stay, but not in size, we can accommodate the big breeds as well. ***Many clients and return clients book privately and my availability will be kept up to date on this site*** I've been a "mom" to two Dobermans and have cared for many dogs both at my house along with traditional dog sitting. I love all dogs and am very comfortable with large working breeds. Dogs that need medical care, (injections and medications are welcome as long as they have detailed instructions) are not an issue for me. Your dog is cared for as if it is our family dog - which means having fun, feeling safe, & loved - all with ample room to play - without the confines of a traditional kennel.

Our puppy Emmett had a great time with Vanda. Easy to work with and great setup for doggy daycare/dogsitting.
We needed a last-minute dog sitter for our vacation, and Vanda was absolutely wonderful! She watched our one-year-old pup, Luna, who can definitely be a nervous Nelly, especially in new environments and with new friends. Vanda made her feel right at home and made us feel completely at ease leaving her. She sent us regular updates and photos throughout our trip, and her communication was great from start to finish. It was such a relief knowing Luna was happy, comfortable, and well cared for while we were away. We would absolutely book with Vanda again and highly recommend her!
Vanda watched my 7mo Great Dane puppy who can be a handful and was great! She sent pictures and videos and my pup had a great time. Vanda was responsive and easy to communicate with.
While Annie spent just one night with Vanda, she came home happy, fed and well cared for. Seems like she got plenty of exercise as she slept so well after getting home. There is a large fenced in area for her to run and explore. Vanda handles her dog and other visiting pets with calm, professional expertise. I highly recommend this care giver.
We had a wonderful experience with Vanda! Communication was excellent from start to finish, and it was clear our dog Earl was well cared for and given lots of attention and playtime. Vanda’s backyard was a dogs dream play space, and he especially had fun with the other pups there. We really appreciated the updates and felt completely comfortable knowing he were in such good hands. Reliable, kind, and easy to work with. We would absolutely book again and highly recommend!

Schedule
I work full time from home, so your dog will have plenty of attention and lots of time outdoors to play. I follow your current routine with feedings to keep consistency and reduce any stress - my goal is for your dog to feel this is their "2nd home".

Safety, trust & environment
My property (aka "Everygreen Hill") is large (2 acres) with slightly over 1 acre fenced. Your pup will have ample room to run in the fenced area, while the comfort of being inside (central AC for summer). A structured walk is an option, and that can be done on my property . Weather permitting, doggie pool, & sprinkler are available for play. Ideally, dogs are crate-trained for sleep time, naps, and breaks to ensure their safety. All dogs must not show aggression or have a history of aggression with other dogs to be accepted into our home and have proof of rabies vaccinations. Pups are permitted on the couch/furniture if they are allowed at their own home. Photos and videos are sent so you can see your pup while you are away.
Pets
A typical day
Lots of time outdoors (weather permitting) and time to rest inside. The yard is equipped with raised dog beds, shade protectors, and lots of toys! Toys are away if any pups are "territorial" with them for safety.
