live near dog parks as well as an open field, ponds and walking trail. I’m located in an animal loving community. I have one high energy dog and one “ old soul”. BOTH suckers for Attention, so no matter what attention your dog needs I got it ! I take my boys on hikes, trails, and out to Ponds or lakes. Both flee less and tick treated on a monthly basis ! I work as a BT doing ABA therapy with kids with autism right down the road from my house as well as a full time college student at Radford. This summer 2026 I’ll be doing my clinical hours at a psychiatric hospital m-f with my partner home on Tuesdays. I am very responsible, trustworthy and reliable. I reassure I balance my time very well and My boyfriend is a retired vet who is very accommodating with my schedule and loves dogs just as much as me ! No matter how busy I may be myself or my significant other is always with the dogs or we make sure not to leave longer than 3-4 hour duration. We have cameras in every room that allow us to check in too. My classes are mainly online and this allows me to do a lot of work remote to be with the furbabies ! I try to keep my work schedule away from client visits but If I am working I’m less than a mile from home and make sure to make trips back to let the animals stretch and use the bathroom as needed. Starting may 26 - July 31 my schedule will be M-F 7:30-4:30 and any dog clients will be walked before I head out, and checked on regularly while I conduct my clinical hours. (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are my work days where I will only take house trained animals unless crate trained due to my new schedule for this summer 26’)

Information Vanda S. would like to know about your pet

A typical day
I always make sure energetic dogs are exercised and stimulated through out the day. I enjoy being outdoors so I try to take the dogs on walks, hikes, parks, and lakes regularly. The dogs usually chill outdoors with me in my garden or on the pully line while I do school work on the porch. If the sun is out so am I and the dogs ( they always have access to go inside if they become hot) Your animal will always come home happy and healthy!

Pet care experience
I have my own service dog, Captain, whom I have had since he was 10 weeks old for medical support. Thankfully, I am now doing much better and am in recovery. Captain and I share a very strong bond, and he is extremely well-trained, friendly, and reliable. Captain is very socialized and does wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children although sometimes needs a day to warm up to be playful. He walks off leash and responds very well to voice commands. He has a very calm and affectionate personality and loves to cuddle. He rarely barks or growls unless he is playing, alerting us to something important, or responding to an emergency to gain attention. Interestingly, because barking is not common in our home, if a small dog yips at him he is often surprised and will calmly back away or hide behind me. This actually makes introductions with new dogs very smooth, as he respects other dogs’ personal space and boundaries like his own. I also have another dog who is a bit of an old soul—and truly a senior at about 10 years old. He is very relaxed and spends most of his time resting in his bed under a blanket unless it’s time to eat. He enjoys lounging on the porch in the sun, getting scratches, and napping or cuddling. He is also well-behaved and socialized, just not very energetic. For boarding and care, I have a dedicated spare bedroom for dogs, which includes space for kennels and gates for separate feeding areas. All dogs are fed in separate spaces, especially when enjoying bones or special treats. I have the space to do this comfortably, and I prefer to prioritize safety. Multiple water bowls are always available, and all bowls are washed nightly. My home offers a Fenced back yard, cameras to watch the dogs if we’re not home ( very rare or short period for errands) , space for individual needs, extra dog bed and bowls. If you’d like to see more of our daily routines, play dates, and past experiences, feel free to check out my Facebook page: “V’s Dog Care.” 🐾 We consider all dogs under the age of 2 years old to still be puppies and puppy rate will apply. For boarding when your pet is here more then 9 hours on pick up or drop off days a small extended care fee may apply, booking maybe adjusted due to age and needs.
Reviews

Vanda was very responsive, she took good care of our dog. Thanks

Vanda was amazing. She took our request on short notice, she communicated really well, and she sent us pictures of our girls while we were gone. They seemed very happy when we picked them up! Thank you Vanda! Would definitely book with her again.

Vanda went above and beyond with watching Duffy and took great care of him! Will definitely use again.

Vanda was an incredible host for Duffy. She was super accommodating and made sure all of Duffy’s needs were met! Would absolutely recommend using Vanda and her services!
