Cat-sitting fits naturally into my weekly routine around my full-time role in the NHS. I offer early morning, evening, and weekend visits. I only take on a small number of bookings at a time to ensure I can give each feline client plenty of care and attention. Since Cat in a Flat's recent merge with Rover, bookings now require owners to specify exact time slots. Please note that I don’t work to fixed appointment times in that way, as I sometimes have multiple visits across different locations in a day and need to be able to move between them flexibly. That said, I will always stick to an agreed general timeframe with you, so you know when to expect me and your cat’s routine is kept consistent.

Daily drop-in visits are a great alternative to catteries, as it means your cat can stay in a familiar, low-stress environment with their usual routines, smells and surroundings. Having been a cat-sitter since 2019, I take safety and trust seriously and treat each home with respect and care. I make sure doors and windows are securely closed before leaving.

When caring for your cat, I will pay attention to their behaviour and wellbeing to make sure they're eating, drinking and using their litter tray as they usually would. I will flag anything of concern promptly. I always aim to provide a calm, reliable presence so that your cat feels comfortable, and you can enjoy your holiday knowing knowing your cat is in safe hands.

During each visit, I will send you updates and photos (via WhatsApp if preferred), spend time playing with your cat if they're in the mood, feed them, refresh water bowls, and clean litter trays. I'm also happy to take in parcels and water plants if needed.

Hi there! My name is Valerija and I have been cat-sitting through Cat in a Flat since 2019, alongside my main job in the NHS. I absolutely adore cats and would love to look after yours! Having always lived with cats in the house growing up, I am accustomed to the varying personalities and quirks they can have, and I always respect the way each cat prefers to be handled. I am also happy to look after any other pets (including guinea pigs, hamsters, fish etc). Just let me know. I promise to send you updates and photos on each visit (can be through WhatsApp if you prefer), play with your cat(s) if they're in the mood, feed them, clean out bowls and the litter tray. I will also take in packages, water your plants (if requested) and will drop your key off in person after you return. If that all sounds good to you, drop me a message!

Honestly couldn’t recommend her enough! She looked after our Kimahri for 5 days and was absolutely brilliant with him 🥰 He’s quite a shy boy but very affectionate once he gets to know you, and she was so lovely and patient with him. Communication was great and we got plenty of photos and little updates, which we absolutely loved and really put our minds at ease while we were away. She even watered our plants and when I messaged asking if she could make Kimahri some treat water because of the heatwave 😂 she was more than happy to do it! Nothing was ever too much trouble and she was just so easy going and lovely. She’s got such a wonderful personality and you can really tell she genuinely cares about the cats she looks after. We’d 100% recommend her and would happily have her look after Kimahri again in a heartbeat! 🐾❤️
Valerija is wonderful with our two cat boys. Hammy loves to play with her and has clearly bonded with her very well. She has even won over our shy / skittish Oliver! A very safe pair of hands - and we love the photo updates we get! 😻
Valerija is wonderful, she always takes great care of Mabel and provides us with lovely updates for each visit. We arrive home to a very happy cat every time. Would absolutely recommend!
