Hello, my name is Valerie! I began neighborhood pet-sitting at 13 years old, and more professionally house-sitting as an adult. I currently have 4 fur babies of my own - a 14 yr old dachshund mix, 5 yr old rescued black cat boy, 2 yr old rescued black cat girl, and a 4 yr old maine coon boy cat rescued from my apt complex. I have to admit that drop in visits for kitties are my favorite! While I do love dogs, I think I’m a cat person at my core. I have had cats as pets since I was 7 years old, but when I moved to Tempe in 2020, I truly started to become a true cat lady. In addition to being a mom to my inside pets, I am a passionate feral cat colony caregiver ❤️ I have provided daily food, spay/neutering and emergency veterinary care to my apt’s complex’s colony 15 feral/stray cats for the last 4 years. As I fell deeper into the world of ferals and TNR, I frequently volunteer with the City of Tempe Animal Welfare to support any and all feral cat efforts in my area. I truly believe that my calling in life is to rescue and provide care to cats in need. (They always seem to find me! 😄❤️) I will work with you and your animals to ensure that they feel as comfortable with my presence as possible. I always respect an animal’s space and move at their pace. I have experience with giving oral medication to dogs and cats, as well as an inhaler for one of my kitty clients with asthma.

While I’m visiting your fur baby in your home, I make sure to give them whenever they need. Some animals need love and pets, some need their own space with a stranger. I will accommodate the wishes of both you and your pet while they’re in my care. As a pet owner myself, I understand the comfort of receiving tons of pictures and reports of your pet while you’re gone. I try my best to give a full report card!

We have been using Valerie as our pet sitter for the past three years, and we couldn’t be happier with her care. Do not know what I would do without Valerie! She is attentive and detailed and so lucky to have her watch my cats and refill my ferals bowl when I’m out of town! Kitties love her!

Valerie was great for my 3 cats! She worked to engage with all of them, even the one who was just was not interested and she took the extra time to find anyone hiding for proof of life photos. Each report card was very detailed, with loads of photos and helpful information on how the trio were doing overall. Would highly recomend Valerie for your cat sitting needs.
Valerie was AWESOME! She left me descriptive report cards and sent TONS of pictures. She is the sweetest girl and has such a heartwarming love for cats. My kittens were spoiled with love and attention for sure.❤️😊
