Pet care experience

Un séjour de rêve pour votre chien!

Hi there! We are Valerie and Thomas, two 28 years old active, passionate, and disciplined people, animal lovers since day one. We would be delighted to welcome your pet into our cozy home located in a safe neighborhood next to a park, the beach, and the forest. We provide personalized care (usually hosting just one dog at a time to fully focus on their needs, we only accept two dogs/cats if they already know each other) fun outings, plenty of exercise, and, of course, all of our love and attention. Your pet’s happiness is our top priority! Until we can commit to a dog for his/her entire lifetime, pet sitting gives us the opportunity to enjoy their sweet company. It’s truly a pleasure and a joy to share our lives with them. Thomas is in the military therefore we do move often. Our next move is estimated to be in May/June 2026, to Quebec City. I, Valerie, spent two years on TrustedHousesitters and had incredible experiences. Over the years, I had cats, turtles, fish, and horses, and I’ve dog- and cat-sat more times than I can count. Even looked after an entire ranch (17 horses, countless dogs, cats, chickens, foals, etc.) by myself for a week. Taking care of animals fuels me. I am a tech consultant mostly working remotely, so I’m able to attend to your pet’s needs all day. When I am boarding a dog, I plan my day and activities around him/her, I aim to not leave him/her alone at all. I’m also very active; if your dog loves to walk, run, play fetch, or hike, I’ll be thrilled to take them on fun and long outings! We also have a safe (but unfenced) yard where they can enjoy some fresh air while leashed and supervised by me. If I do need to go to the office (1-2 a week) Thomas and I sync our schedules so that your pet is not left alone or if so, very shortly (this is adapted depending on your pets needs and preferences). In our home, your pet will be respected, loved, well cared for, and listened to. While my boyfriend is away more than I am, I’m the primary caregiver. That said, he absolutely adores animals and has a calm, gentle nature. He grew up with dogs, cats, and rabbits, he is an experienced and loving caretaker whenever he’s around. With a background in working with horses and caring for anxious dogs, I’ve learned to maintain a calm, grounding presence that helps animals feel secure. I’m quick to adapt to your pet’s routine and happy to continue any training or habits you’d like me to maintain. In the past I’ve cared for both energetic puppies and senior pets, so I understand how to adjust care depending on their age and needs. I am also currently learning about dog training and grooming, I’m eager to become more and more skilled to take care of them in the best way. We are genuinely excited to welcome your pet and will make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. Our dream is to one day live on a farm and own plenty of animals, including 2 Rottweilers. So if you are a rottie owner, please reach out :) If you have any questions at all, I’d love to chat. Thank you for your time and consideration!

Valerie and Thomas are amazing people who both exceeded all expectations for our pup. They eased all worries and stress and continuosly updated us throughout the day. They are both incredibly calm, understanding and kind people who provided the utmost care for our pup. They understood the means necessary to ease our dogs anxiety and shyness and made him feel the most comfortable he could ever be in a new environment. I would highly recommend Valerie and Thomas, I have never been so pleased with a service anywhere. I am incredibly thankful to have found them and couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Valerie and Thomas were fantastic with our 4 month old puppy and responsive to everything we asked and needed. Our Bella seemed very comfortable and happy, we felt good leaving our little baby with them while we took a little break. I would definitely use them again! :)

Safety, trust & environment

We keep our space tidy at all times. If we are dogsitting in your home, you can rest assured that it will be well cared for, cleaned, and respected at all times, just like we do with ours. We live in a very safe and small military district, right next to the sea and forest, which is ideal for long walks and play time.

A typical day

We do not own a TV so we are always very lively and not on screens much. On the weekends we love to do at least one little adventure like going on a hike, which we always adapt to your pets capacity and preferences. In general, we won’t go somewhere if dogs are not allowed ;)
