A loving, safe home away from home
I’m a lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom to Pingu, my 13-year-old toy poodle. Pingu lives with my parents, so he isn’t currently in my home—but he’s still a very special part of my life. Caring for dogs brings me so much joy, and I’d love the opportunity to welcome your pup into my home! To make sure every dog receives the individual care, attention, and affection they deserve, I care for no more than two dogs at a time. I’m happy to make an exception for dogs from the same household. For everyone’s safety, all dogs must be up to date on their rabies vaccination and flea prevention. I take dogs outside at least three times a day: - Morning - Late afternoon - Before bedtime I’ll do my best to make your pup feel comfortable, happy, and right at home. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to tell me more about your dog and their routine. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your furry friend! 🐾

We have relied on Valerie’s services to care for our senior dogs many times over the years. She is a dedicated caregiver who handles everything from feeding and walking to more specialized needs, such as changing their diapers. In addition to her excellent pet care, she assists us with household maintenance, including watering plants and collecting the mail. Valerie is both responsible and polite, and we have been deeply grateful to have her support.
After several unsatisfying experiences with commercial boarding facilities, we decided to switch to an independent sitter. Fortunately, Valerie came to the rescue! Schedule
I work from home and plan to continue doing so for the foreseeable future, which means I’ll be home most of the day and able to give your pup plenty of attention, companionship, and care. Dogs in my care will have opportunities to relax, play, and enjoy supervised time in the yard throughout the day. I also make sure they receive regular outdoor breaks and follow their usual routines as closely as possible.

I live in a single-family home with a fenced backyard where dogs can enjoy supervised outdoor play. I’m home most of the time, so your pup will have plenty of companionship and won’t be left alone for long periods. I always keep dogs on leash when we leave the house and will follow your instructions regarding walks, feeding, medications, and routines. While my neighborhood is dog-friendly, any introductions to other dogs will be handled carefully and only if your pup is comfortable and it’s appropriate for their temperament and needs. I’m committed to creating a safe, calm, and welcoming home away from home for every dog in my care!

A typical day
I work from home, so I’ll be around most of the day and have plenty of time to spend with your pup. We live in a welcoming family home in Burlingame, just a five-minute walk from Victoria Park and about 20 minutes from downtown Burlingame. Depending on your dog’s energy level, personality, and routine, activities may include: - Supervised playtime and relaxation in our side yard - Walks around our dog-friendly neighborhood - Exploring Victoria Park - Strolling through downtown Burlingame or San Mateo - Joining me for a coffee or brunch outing with my friends, when appropriate and with your approval - Plenty of cuddles, companionship, and one-on-one attention at home I take dogs outside for regular breaks at least three times a day—morning, late afternoon, and before bedtime—and I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual walking and bathroom routine. All outdoor time will be supervised, and dogs will remain on leash whenever we leave the house. I’ll tailor activities to your pup’s comfort level, age, and needs rather than over-scheduling them.
