I prefer animals to people.
When I was 10 years old my elderly neighbor had to be hospitalized and there was no one to care for her dog. When I heard them talking about rehoming the dog, I immediately offered to help care for her while my neighbor got the care she needed. Even at a young age I couldn’t believe the solution was to rehome and separate them. There’s an empathy required when caring for animals and I believe I had it young.

While I won’t be caring for animals in my home, I have a lot of experience caring for animals in their home. I started babysitting when I was 15 years old. Most families I worked for had pets and when they would leave town I would care for their animals. I pride myself in my ability to cultivate strong relationships and be trusted to care for animals and children.

You know how you can immediately sense a dog lover? Valerie LOVES dogs and will care for your dog as if its her own. If she is taking care of a dog, it is her top priority, and she will plan her days around it. She is incredibly responsible and trustworthy. My dog loves going over to Val's house and yours will too.
Val is a reliable, loving, playful caregiver. She has cared for our human children as well as our dogs, cats, rats, rabbits, and chickens. She is capable and undeterred by the inevitable chaos of animals. 10/10 would recommend!

I’m working part time while I transition from nannying to becoming a postpartum doula. I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule while I do my training.
