I cannot say enough good things about Val (and Pearl!) Val is communicative, professional, and not only loves dogs, but KNOWS dogs. Val has a process to introduce pets, make your pet comfortable and make you feel totally at ease. After our first meet and greet, I was genuinely excited for our Nala to have the chance to spend the weekend with Val. The long leash walks, backyard, flirt pole and enrichment puzzles make it more like a dog retreat than stuffy boarding. I wish I lived closer because I would never need to find another dog sitter after meeting Val. If you are in the Lansing/East Lansing area- look no further!!

Valerie was phenomenal, sent plenty of photos and updates to let me know the dogs were doing well. Can definitely tell she puts in the extra effort to make sure it's a positive stay for everyone and the dogs loved her.

A truly amazing place to leave your four-legged pals! Val went above and beyond in her care for Cassius. She not only cared for Cassius and kept him on his medication routine, she worked with him to learn new commands, be comfortable with grooming, ignore other dogs, drop toys, and stay on a "place." While Val will tell you she's not a dog trainer, she is constantly actively engaging and doing positive reinforcement. Cassius is not normally good with dogs, so I wasn't sure that this would be a fit. But the miraculous Pearle actually ended up being a huge bonus, as it gave Cassius a chance to be near a non-reactive dog. Val initiated careful, slow, progressive exposure so that baby steps were taken and conquered. So many amazing photos and videos (really, some lovely portraits--a 5th career as a pet photographer on the horizon?) to show just how much fun they are having together and how much he learned. Val is an excellent communicator and takes everything about the dogs who stay with her seriously. I truly felt that my dog was enjoying his time staying at her house and I fully trusted that he was in the best of hands. Can't say enough good things. Hope to have another chance to have Cassius stay again soon!

Val took excellent care of our 10-year-old male dog. She was extremely reliable, sent lots of photos, and clearly knows what she’s doing. She was very conscientious about introductions with her dog Pearl, and they ended up getting along great. Val went above and beyond—making special Christmas treats, taking the dogs on walks in the woods, and letting them play on agility equipment in her backyard. We were thrilled and will absolutely be using Val again. Highly recommend!

Val took great care of my dog, Eevee. Val gave great updates and I eagerly awaited each one! I really appreciate Val's experience and enthusiasm for dogs, which shows in the care and handling of the pups. Eevee looks like she had a great time as well!! I felt that Eevee was in good hands the whole time and I am so excited to have a trusted dog sitter nearby! Thank you Val!

We’ve always been hesitant about boarding or having anyone else but family watch our Corgis, but a scheduling conflict pushed us to try Rover and we’re so glad it did. We came across Val’s profile and instantly felt she’d be a great match for our little lady, Zoe. She ended up exceeding every expectation. From the initial messages to meeting in person, Val was responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely attentive to Zoe’s quirks. The pictures and videos she sent during the stay showed just how much fun Zoe was having with Val and her sweet pup, Pearle. It gave us total peace of mind. We couldn’t recommend Val more for anyone looking for a loving, trustworthy home for their pups. Take it from two dads who don’t hand that trust out easily when it comes to our kiddos!
