Hi there! I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. From energetic puppies to senior pets who just want a calm companion, I truly enjoy getting to know each animal’s unique personality and needs. For the past 7 years, I’ve worked as a professional animal trainer with marine mammals—so patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement are at the core of everything I do. I bring that same thoughtful, reward-based approach to working with dogs and other pets. I currently have a small Pomeranian mix of my own, so I understand just how important it is to trust someone with your four-legged family member. Your pet’s happiness, safety, and well-being are always my top priorities—and I’ll care for them just like they’re part of my own family.

Valerie was awesome. The day we were supposed to have our meet and greet I had to take Gidget to the vet because she was not eating. The vet wanted to keep her a few hours which pushed back out appointment time. Valerie was very understanding and flexible. Valerie was awesome with each of our dogs who have very different personalities. She was able to give Gidget the medication the vet has prescribed. Valerie contacted me to see if she could try something to help Gidget to eat. She went over and beyond to take care of our girls. Valerie contacted me daily to let me know how each of the girls were doing. Valerie was also very respectful of our home. I am very grateful for her!

Schedule
Pet care fits easily into my routine alongside my 9–5 schedule. I’m available for morning and evening visits during the week, and I’m fully available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for more flexible care. I’m careful to only accept bookings I can fully commit to, so every pet gets the attention and care they deserve.

I tailor my care to each pet’s routine and comfort level, whether in my home or yours. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and preferred routines. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and a calm, safe environment. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of your space and work to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. My goal is always to keep your pet happy, stress-free, and well cared for while you’re away.

A typical day
I tailor activities to each pet’s personality and energy level. For higher energy animals, this includes engaging walks, play like fetch or tug, and simple enrichment or training games using positive reinforcement. For calmer pets, I focus on gentle play, companionship, and keeping them comfortable and relaxed while maintaining their routine.
