As a homeschooling family, there is almost always someone home to care for, and play with your pet. We exercise dogs extensively multiple times a days, according to each dogs' need and desire. We all enjoy a good snuggler.

We pay attention to what the dogs are needing- rest, exercise, cuddles- and do accordingly. Our alpha dog has been a wonderful leader and is very accepting. When we meet your pets in your home, we give your home and pets complete respect. We ensure the animals feel secure with our visiting, get lots of pets if they desire, and we leave your animals full and ready to rest.

Due to younger children in our home, please advise us of any concern there may be for reactivity to smaller humans. Let us know of any allergies, special diets, reactivities, or concerning symptoms. We allow for visiting animals to go at their own pace, relaxing in a crate if they need space, or zooming out back if they so desire.
A typical day
Your dog may be read to, trained, snuggled, given "brain training" treat puzzles, played with in our huge backyard with balls, frisbees, tug or war, etc.. They may enjoy getting wet and muddy, or chasing balls; or relaxing on a big dog bed, the couch, or in a kiddos bed.

Pet care experience
Welcome to the family! We have a LARGE backyard, so doggies get lots of exercise (if that's what they want), and definitely lots of loving! Plenty of quiet spaces for kitties and older dogs. I've been caring for animals since I was little. I've been a dog-walker and animal sitter more professionally for about 27 years. I have experience with dogs, cats, chickens, birds, and rabbits. As a "stay-at-home" wife and mom, with adult children, and homeschooled younger children, there is almost always someone home to interact and care for the animals. We all work together to ensure critters are happy and healthy. I have a very large fenced yard with room to spare for your doggies' zoomies. We can crate dogs when we leave home, and at night for everyone's safety. Cats have free reign of the indoors, with trees, beds, boxes, and toys galore. Gates and cat door latches ensure dogs cannot bother the cats that don't want to interact. There are plenty of us ready to snuggle a pup or kitty. At the client's home, we take great care to keep the animal's routine for their maximum comfort. We feed, play, walk, water, scoop doo doo, give treats and whatever else is needed.

Valerie and Kevin have been boarding our dog when we're out of town for 2 years, and we have always been extremely pleased with them. They take excellent care of the dogs, and when we arrive, our dog is always straining at the leash to get into their back yard so he can play with his doggy buddies! I highly recommend them for your pet boarding or Doggy Day Camp needs. Recently, they helped us out of a sticky situation when our dog boarder in Flagstaff (we are snowbirds) neglected to put our reservation in her calendar, and we had to scramble to find someone to board our dog before we left on a trip out of state. We were very uncomfortable at the thought of leaving our dog with somebody we hadn't met or a kennel we hadn't used in many years. Even though Valerie and Kevin were showing as "Not Available" for the time period of our trip, I reached out to her "just in case" (since we were flying out of Phoenix anyway), and she agreed to take our dog. We are SO VERY thankful that they were able to do that! We were able to relax and enjoy our trip without worrying about our dog, and we received lots of great pictures of him playing with the other dogs while we were gone. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Valerie and Kevin!!!
