I work from home online on a flexible basis, so I can typically be available most times of day. I am available for walks and drop-in visits with your pet while you are at work. For housesitting, I'm available to stay at your house to work (Wi-Fi permitting!) so that I can provide mid-day potty breaks and attention for your pet.

Dog walking: I like to encourage polite walking behaviors through positive reinforcement (praise, treats!) - this will create a safe and fun walk for both of us. Please just let me know if your dog shouldn't have treats or requires a certain type of treats. I'm always willing to adjust activities based on your dog's abilities and weather. For example, if the weather turns too hot or cold for your pup, I can swap out a lengthy walk for a shorter one plus enrichment games in the shade or some indoor playtime. **NEW! Dog jogging: Do you have a high-energy dog who needs more than a regular walk? I may be able to offer dog jogging for some dogs, as an add-on for a small additional fee. Book a walk with me and I can evaluate if your dog is a good fit. Drop-in visits and house-sitting: Your pet's safety and happiness are my priority. I have excellent attention to detail and follow all instructions to ensure a safe and fun environment for your pet. I'm happy to accommodate specific needs for your pet/home - just ask.

A typical day
Dog walking: I believe every walk is a great opportunity to bond through learning and exploring! I love adding some enrichment (e.g., games, tricks) to a walk to exercise your dog's mind and body! Drop-in visits and house-sitting: I'll provide company, snuggles, and playtime for your pet while you're away. I'm happy to practice tricks with your dogs, play, or provide enrichment games/puzzles! For example, a favorite game is hiding treats around the room or in the grass for your dog to hunt for. Grooming: During drop-in visits and housesitting, I can offer grooming services for an additional fee. I have experience brushing and maintaining long and curly coats.

I'm an active person who can keep up with your active pup! My experience caring for pets began at a young age when I volunteered for a local dog rescue and fostered dogs with my family. Today, I proudly provide services including dog walking, housesitting, exercise, enrichment, & basic daily care for dogs and cats. I would be thrilled to provide care for your dog or cat too!

Valerie was great! I appreciated her daily updates and photos. We have a high energy dog and she took the time to play with him, walk him and do different activities to tire him out. She also left the house very clean which is always nice to come home to.
Valerie was absolutely wonderful! She updated us on every visit and went out of her way to make sure our cat Leo was comfortable. Communication was great and Leo was happy with a full tummy when we got home. I would definitely recommend and rebook Valerie!
Val was so loving and patient with my older dog. She took walks at Buddy's pace and connected with him by understanding his personality. I completely trusted Val and she did not disappoint!
Valerie is very passionate about dogs. She loves running with them, taking them for walks and even grooming her own dog, a poodle. She has lots of patience with all dogs, and would be a great fit for walking or taking care of your dog!
