I work 8:30-4:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but otherwise my schedule is flexible so your pet will have the company you desire for them. Most often I do a walk in the morning to get a bit of energy out, and then additional exercise later in the day as needed. Please note: I work outside of the home 2 days a week (Tuesday and Thursday) from 8:30-4:30.

While my apartment doesn’t allow for pets, I am available to come to your place to watch them. I am an avid walker and love to head to nature or navigate the city to give your pets the exercise and stimulation they need. Because I don’t have any pets, I won’t be bringing strange animal smells around your dog. My calm and grounded energy usually makes me a favourite around new dogs. As I spend 2 days per week working from home, I am very tidy and conscientious about my living space. I need to have an organized space to get my best work done. I take regular breaks so your pet will have no shortage of attention (if they like that!)
Information Valerie D. would like to know about your pet
The more information the better! Let me know about your pet’s likes/dislikes (are we avoiding men in hats? Got it), their meal time and portions, favourite toys and treats. I’m all ears!
A typical day
Your dog will get all the exercise and stimulation they desire. My regular dog sitting routine is to go for a long walk in the morning and evening, and then take them out for play/ pee breaks as needed. I’m flexible to follow your dog’s schedule though. When my dog got sick it became hard for her to walk, but she still needed mental exercise. I learned a bunch of DIY puzzles and games to give her the stimulation she needed, and I’d be happy to do the same for your pet!

Pet care experience
My experience caring for animals is mostly with dogs. I had a beautiful Boxer named Lacey for 9 years before she developed a fatal disease. She was an anxious, sometimes reactive dog, so I am very familiar caring with dogs with particular needs. Further, I am the go-to dog sitter for my family and friends, as they know I have the loving nature and patience required for pet sitting. I have a deep love and compassion for animals, and would care for yours as if they are my own.
Reviews

Val took such good care of my two boys ❤️ I felt so confident leaving my 11 year old boxer Bo and my 3 yr old Frenchton Doug in her care I will definitely book Val again ❤️

Valerie was amazing with our pets! Very communicative, caring and thoughtful! Our babies loved her 💜

Val was absolutely incredible with our dog, Manfred. From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease—and that feeling only grew while we were away. She went above and beyond in every way. Not only was Manfred so well cared for (and clearly very loved and spoiled!), but we came home to a house that was cleaner than when we left. That level of thoughtfulness and care is so rare. It was obvious how comfortable and happy Manfred was with her—honestly, I think he misses her already! 😂 We are so grateful to have found Val and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, kind, and genuinely amazing with animals.

When she came for the interview she broke down all the information and things to do. She gave us updates while we were away and took good care of our pets and our home.
