Safety, trust & environment

I cannot bring your pet into my home but at my house my dog is crated when we leave and always has access to fresh water. Food is given at designated times and treats are limited to when we leave or if we've just come back from a big trip or event.

Information Valerie C. would like to know about your pet

The usual info would be useful- activity level, quirks like doesn't like thunderstorms, medical conditions, etc. Otherwise, I don't think there's much else I would need to know.

A typical day

Of course it depends on available resources but walks and/or runs are a given. Dog parks or playing fetch would depend on having a park or open space available. We can play with our toys inside and get lots of belly rubs.

Pet care experience

I cannot commit to recurring jobs because of work. I don't usually block off whole days in case you need help in the early morning or evenings. I love dogs of all sizes and am familiar and trained on e-collars and pinch collars. I got my first dog at 12 and have had dogs almost continuously since then. In 2007 I adopted my first dog as an adult. Now I'm on my fourth dog. For 5 years or so I house and pet sat for 3 dogs, in addition to my 2, in South Georgia in a rural area. Now that I’m in north GA we take walks at various locations throughout White, Lumpkin, and Habersham counties. I have a parks pass so walks in the state parks are always on the list. I’ve always owned large or x-l breeds (70+) so I’m quite capable of handling larger dogs. My family now volunteers at an area shelter walking the dogs that don't often get walks, aka the big ones.

Valerie was amazing! She took extremely great care of our dogs while we were away for the weekend. Very thoughtful, very thorough, and her attention to detail and care for our animals was amazing! We will definitely use her again.

Valerie is a pleasant and easy-going option if you want to book a dog walker. She responded quickly to my request, and both she and her young daughter were kind to my dog, Bonnie.
