I’ve always been an animal lover and have had pets my entire life! I’ve cared for both cats and dogs of all different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. I know how important pets are—they really are part of the family. I’m comfortable with everything from energetic dogs who love walks and playtime to pets who would rather curl up on the couch and get some extra attention. I’m also a cat lover and understand that sometimes the best way to win over a cat is to let them decide when they’re ready to be your friend! I’m dependable, responsible, and will treat your pets with the same love and care I give my own. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away—and to give you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands.

Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In your home, I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications or special instructions, and of course plenty of attention. I’m also respectful of your home and will make sure everything is secure when I leave. For pets staying in my home, I’ll work with you to learn about their routines, personality, preferences, and comfort level before their stay. I have pets of my own, so safety is especially important to me. I’ll make sure introductions are handled carefully and that every pet has the space and attention they need to feel comfortable. Valerie is one of the most kind and loving individuals I know. She loves deeply when it comes to her dogs, Tilly and Poppy, and the family cat Enzo. Valerie is extremely dependable, when she says she will take care of or show up for an animal, family member, or friend you can always count on her. I know when she keeps our dogs that they will be given lots of love and taken care of properly.
Valerie has been a pet owner for as long as I’ve known her, close to twenty years. She has always taken excellent care of her animals. They have all had good vet care, food and houses. She has a heart for animals.

Schedule
As a teacher, I have a pretty consistent daily schedule, which makes it easy for me to plan pet care into my routine. I’m available before and after school, in the evenings, and have much more flexibility on weekends, holidays, and school breaks. I’m used to having pets as part of my everyday life, so feeding, walks, playtime, cuddles, and checking in on them already feel like a natural part of my day!
