BIG or small ~ we love them all!

Pet care experience

Animal loving family at your service. Both my husband and I grew up taking care of pets. Our family consists of 2 girls and a 38 pound busy rescue pup - Bugsy Brown. We have 29 miles of paved wooded walking paths in our neighborhood that we use daily for walking our own dog. From active to couch potatoes we got your pet covered. Our current dog loves playmates and fetch and doesn’t have a problem when other dogs stay with us. We have lots of tricks up our sleeves when it comes to being patient & understanding. We’re not afraid to work with special need animals or give medications. Our family has volunteered at the Franklin County Dog Shelter. Both daughters love animals and one wants to work with animals as an adult. We are outgoing & active. We would recommend scheduling a meet and greet to be sure everyone is comfortable with the doggie staycation.

Valerie and her family did amazing with my puppy! She sent updates through my pups stay and loved him like her own. She was very aware of his needs and helped him burn lots of puppy energy. When we went back for our second visit, my pup that gets anxious around people went right up to her and snuggled up on her lap. I would definitely recommend Valerie and her family!

If you have a special pet and are looking for a special person to care for them then I would definitely choose Val for the job. Besides being experienced and trustworthy she is also very energetic and kind Included in the package are her two daughters who have lots of love to share as well. I guarantee that your pet will never be bored or lonely while you’re gone

Valerie was fantastic! My dog, Sirius, loved her at first sight. She is timely, responsible, meticulous and above all, a dog lover - all perfect qualities for a walker/sitter. We could not have been happier with her services. A++

I highly recommend Valerie to watch your sweet fur baby! She LOVES dogs and always cares for mine as if he was her own. She is the only one we trust with our baby. She treats him with genuine love, and is always respectful with our wishes. She takes him for walks on the numerous beautiful walking paths in Muirfield, and often spoils him with hugs, kisses and treats! She’s SO much fun that Chester often doesn’t want to leave when we come pick him up! He literally lays down at the door like “Nope. I’m not going with you, I’m staying here.” Hah!

We live in a house in a neighborhood with 29 wooded miles of walking paths. We are an active family and happy to go on multiple walks a day. We have a large yard - no fence. We also have a large grassy soccer field adjacent to our back yard and a playground. When we are not home we can either crate or simply close off our large tiled kitchen/dining room by shutting the existing doors so your pet can have access to the entire space and their food/water while we are out. Like a room with a view? Consider it done! We have double sliding glass doors in our kitchen that look out into the large landscaped back yard. While staying with us your pup can have their bed right there too and enjoy birds an occasional deer and maybe even some people on the paths passing by.

Feeding, potty and exercise schedule. Any weird habits or endearing behaviors that would be amusing and or startling. How your dog reacts to knocks on the door or unfamiliar kids playing in the backyard.

A typical day

Wake up, potty time and breakfast. Walk or outside playtime. Hopefully we can use the walking paths to explore new smells and play with resident dog - Bugsy. We live next to an active tennis court so there are always stray balls around for a good old fashioned game of fetch!

I am a teacher. When school is out (holidays/summer) we are home full time. My working school schedule has me up early (6am) & home early (3pm). My husband works from home so he is around for potty breaks and the occasional quick game of fetch. We are open to both long term set schedules and having flexibility. Ultimately the goal is keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible so we will work with you to achieve whatever that may be.
