Had some issues and got my dog back after a week with a growing skin problem without any knowledge of it happening. Overall not very responsive, I had to text to ask for updates most days, rarely received pictures, and some days didn’t receive an update. Never before have I had to ask a rover for so many updates (if at all) When I got him back he was in good spirits but had a massive swollen bald spot on one elbow, but received no updates saying this was happening or any pictures when I asked about it she said he had it when I dropped him off (he had some dry skin from sitting on hard surfaces but nothing even close to this) I was completely surprised by it and rushed him to a vet. It was either an allergic reaction or something but started to get infected so I had to get him bathed with medical shampoo and then get some antibiotics and a shot. He also had a rash all over his stomach and armpit. Additionally, when I picked him up he was completely out of food. I asked if he’d had enough and they said yes but I never got any warning that he was running low or anything and needed more or else I’d have had some delivered. Originally I left him with a large tub. Maybe he did have enough but I’m not confident. Overall I’m dissatisfied to say the least. That’s the last time I go with someone I haven’t had watch him before. There’s more to watching a dog than putting food and water in a bowl and going on walks. Any health issues or concerns need to be brought to the owners attention ASAP.
