Your buddy will get consistent, calm company, not just quick check ins. I only dog sit one dog at a time so your pup will be the only dog in the home during their stay. I take lots of breaks to go for fun walks, often heading out to the beautiful Coal Creek Trail or Waneka Lake Trail. This predictable routine and engaging outdoor time is great for keeping your buddy happy, active, and relaxed, making sure they don't stress about being away from you.

Safety, trust & environment

In my home, your dog gets a cozy vacation built around fun and safety. They'll get to enjoy three or more walks every day, with one walk being a long walk. For peace of mind, they're always on a leash when we're out and about. I take a calm approach to leadership by first ensuring that I'm calm before helping your buddy work through their challenges whether they be during our walk or during transitional periods in the day. I stick closely to your feeding and bedtime schedules, consistency is key especially when your pup is away from home! Playtime is all about what they love, whether it's a puzzle or a burst of fetch. Plus, if they want to sunbathe on the patio, they can certainly do so!

Information Valeria A. would like to know about your pet

Since my focus is on providing calm and customized care, I need to understand your dog's world before they arrive! The more details you share, the happier and more relaxed your buddy will be in my home. To ensure a smooth stay, here are the important details that I ask owners about: Routines: What are your dog’s specific feeding, walking, and sleeping schedules? Wherever possible, I'd love to maintain the consistency to reduces transitional stress. Safety & Social Comfort: How comfortable is your dog meeting new people or passing other dogs on a walk? Are there any situations that cause them anxiety or excitement? Quirks & Needs: Are there any unique quirks, fears, favorite activities, or "special needs" (like a fear of car noises) that we should know about? Training support: Are there any specific commands, behaviors, or routines (like "off" or basic cues like "sit") that you would like us to help reinforce during their stay? Health & Medication: Please detail any medications that need to be administered (and the easiest way to give them!) or any medical conditions I should be aware of. Crate & Comfort: Does your dog use a crate? If so, does it help them feel secure, and should we continue that routine? Ultimately, my goal is to gather these details and individual needs so that I can provide the safest, most comforting, and fun stay possible!

A typical day

We have a blast! I'm going is an avid hiker, so if your dog is up for it and you're comfortable with the idea, I would love taking them out for a good trail adventure. Nothing beats that happy, tired glow! At home I do my best to balance the physical fun with brain games (if you send along any puzzle toys!) because a tired mind is just as important as a tired body especially for working breeds. And of course, we'll have little indoor bursts of fun, like chasing a toy or other silly games! But honestly, my favorite part of the day is always the cuddles and snuggles. Every dog gets lots of love!

Pet care experience

I recognize that a shy dog may have different needs than an active young working pup. By reviewing your buddies profile and asking clarifying questions, I come up with a care plan tailored to your specific dog to ensure that they feel happy and secure during their stay. I work from our home, allowing me to provide consistent and quality supervision and care throughout the day. I'm fortunate to live in a quiet residential neighborhood (there is some truck & bus noise on weekday mornings), which can help your buddy settle in quickly, reducing any stress and separation anxiety that they may experience. Every dog always has its quirks and unique challenges and I'm always learning and seeking out new information on pet behavior and health to ensure that I provide the most informed and highest standard of care that I can. Being a foster parent and volunteer at Boulder Humane helps me do this by giving me experiences with all types of rescues. Here, I pick up training and care tips from professionals working at the shelter and implement the tips as I house dogs who await adoption.

Valeria was great at taking care of Ranger and providing plenty of updates during his stay. She level set with us when we dropped him off on how frequently we wanted updates and delivered with some fantastic photos of him during his stay.

Valeria did a wonderful job taking care of Tess! She was very attentive to Tess’s needs and followed our instructions perfectly. She sent photos and updates several times a day and we could tell that Tess was enjoying her time with Valeria. We highly recommend Valeria to others looking for a sitter who will take wonderful care of their furry family member. She is very pleasant, caring and takes the time to really get to know your pup. Thank you, Valeria!
