I don’t have a fenced yard, but there is a great walking trail a couple blocks from my home and a fenced off lead dog park right across the street.I also don’t mind driving to more adventurous walking trails.

A typical day
Dogs get bored walking in the same place everyday. I love to hike in the woods and on the old rail trail. I can also do some training if that is needed.

Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs in my life for 40 years. I’ve been an owner, a dog sitter and a dog walker. I was a postie for 30 years. Never did I have a problem with a dog. Even the aggressive ones learned to love me.

Val, is an extraordinary person who is very kind, welcoming, and warm. Our dog, who has anxiety around strangers, took to her instantaneously. The fact that he was curled up with her within moments of us, leaving him there in a strange place, is prove to how good she is with the animals in her care. She communicate it with us frequently, letting us know how Max was doing, which we appreciated. We would highly, highly recommend her if you were looking for a sitter for your pet, and we will definitely use her again!
Val was lovely to deal with. Bella was taken with her immediately at our meet and greet. We provided all that was needed for Bella’s visit, yet Val was ready and also had supplies on hand. Nice knowing if I forgot anything it was there. Updates were great. Bella was happy and settled when we picked her up. Would definitely book with Val again
We were nervous to leave our dog with a sitter while we went away for a few days but Val alleviated all of our fears. Our dog was well taken care of, and happy to stay with her. She took such great care of him with lots of attention given to his meals and to play time/ exercise. She also updated us with photos and texts. Couldn’t be more pleased!!
Our pup was comfortable and happy. She got to spend lots of time outside and no post trip attitude at home. 😁 We'll be seeing Val again, we travel a lot on long weekends right past her place.
