Pet care experience

Your pets are my passion!

I started on Rover a few years back, and have met so many amazing animals and families along the way! I love animals and giving them the attention they deserve, especially when their family is out of town and they don’t know what’s going on! I love making sure they don’t feel lonely throughout the day. I’m very familiar with separation anxiety and making them feel extra loved! I have experience with small dogs to dogs bigger than me. I have watched senior dogs with lots of limitations, puppies with so much energy they don’t know what to do with it, and special needs dogs that has additional requirements. I have watched 1 dog to 5 dogs at a time. I have also stayed and taken care of reptiles, chickens, etc. I live in Fenton and work full-time in Flint. I do work full time from 8a-4:30p. And if it permits, will stop during my lunch break to visit as well! I am available evenings and weekends. I have been utilizing my younger sister to help work schedules out as well. She’s been really awesome with the animals and is more available for frequent visits during the day. I would bring her with me for the meet and greet to ensure you your animals are well taken care of while you’re gone 😊 anything I cannot cover, she usually does! I have a fenced in back yard with lots of room for running around and playing! I love being outside, especially if it’s nice, so walks or visits to the dog park will be routine for us!

This was our first time using Rover, we found Tyra listed and couldn't be more pleased! She was so friendly and did everything we asked her to do. We have become the main food source for a little family of feral cats and she came over and put their food out everyday and then stopped by later in the day to retrieve the empty dishes. We highly recommend her services!!

Tyra is awesome! She spent more time with our baby because he was sad we left, sent daily updates and reports, and left us a sweet note❤ We'll definitely use her again❤

Tyra is so loving and caring for my fur baby. My barrett loves when she comes to play with him and let him outside while I am at work. I choose her every time I need someone to watch my boy. I always know he is in good hands.

Safety, trust & environment

I know the importance of making sure your animal is getting the love they’re used to when you’re home. I always want to make them feel extra loved and special, especially when they’re in an environment they might be uncomfortable in because it’s a new space (if boarding at my house) or you’re not home. Stimulation is very important to I always make sure to pay them more attention than they probably even need! And treats and important too, if their diet allows :)

A typical day

With my fenced in back yard there will be a lot of outside time, especially if the weather in nice. I enjoy walking, so if they’re able I usually take them with me for whatever duration you suggest. I’ve done around the block, up to 5 miles or more. I live near downtown Fenton so there are a lot of places to walk!

Always want to make sure I know if they need any medication requirements so those don’t get missed! If there are any diet or accommodations that need to be made for them.
