I have a cat myself, and daily play sessions and a clean litter box make him a happy boy. Growing up, our foster dogs got walks every 1-2 hours, and adventures aplenty.

Safety, trust & environment

Every dog and every cat is different, both in temperament and interests, so a steady, calm demeanor helps me read small body language cues accurately. Many animals show us, their loving caregivers, exactly what they want and need. We just have to watch and listen.

Information Tyler R. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know what treats work best with your pet, and any and all idiosyncrasies you love to support. Making the dog or cat feel at ease with familiar behavior can help me focus on their needs. This might include no-pet zones, please-pet zones, favorite toys or play styles, and even fears (vacuums, children, etc.)

A typical day

I love walking with dogs and working on their reactivity! The safest a dog can be is calm, and oftentimes the excitement of being out and about can make things difficult. Making the walker the focus of the excursion can free their nervous system to enjoy the sights and smells safely.

Pet care experience

Feel like your dog is unruly? Great! I love working with dogs who have boundless energy, and finding their favorite enrichment styles to work training in is my bread and butter. Whether it was foster dogs growing up, or that one college roommate’s puppy, I love finding the pooch’s passions to support a fun learning environment.

Tyler is a great human and caregiver. He treats all beings with respect and love, and goes above and beyond to make them comfortable and happy. Tyler is excellent with dogs and cats of all sizes. He is also very willing and able to learn about other types of pets. I highly recommend him.

Tyler is very kind and looks after pets as though they’re part of his family. He listens and follows instructions without reminder. He mainly grew up with cats but can hold his own with dogs. A nice to have with Tyler watching your fur babies is a sense of relief that he’s willing to follow up with you as a person, and isn’t just a silent pet watcher.
