Safe Dog Retreat - Fenced Yard
Hi! I provide calm, personalized home-style dog boarding and daycare in Richfield with a fenced backyard, plenty of outdoor time, and a safe, relaxed environment for dogs to feel comfortable and at home. I’ve always enjoyed being around dogs and understand that every dog has different energy levels, routines, and personalities. My goal is to provide a structured and low-stress experience with lots of supervision, outdoor breaks, playtime, walks, and attention throughout the day. I currently have a friendly older dog, Ava, who enjoys a calm environment, so my home is set up with comfort and accessibility in mind for senior dogs as well. I have a doggy door for easy backyard access along with a setup that works well for my older dog with arthritis, helping create a comfortable and low-stress environment indoors and outdoors. My fenced backyard gives dogs room to safely explore, sniff, relax, and play while being supervised. Inside the home, I also keep toys and indoor play areas available for enrichment, engagement, and downtime during the day. I work hybrid and spend a good amount of time at home, which allows me to provide consistent care, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. I enjoy staying active outdoors and making sure dogs get both physical activity and relaxation depending on their individual needs and personalities. Safety and communication are very important to me. I prefer meet-and-greets beforehand to make sure everyone is comfortable and it’s a good fit. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos during your dog’s stay so you can feel comfortable while away. Whether your dog enjoys relaxing, backyard time, walks, indoor play, or simply having a calm home environment while you travel, I’d love to help provide a safe and comfortable stay.

Beanie had a great stay with Tyler and Ava! She loved the big backyard and all the walks. She got along great with Ava, who is a real sweetie pie of a dog - it was like they were sisters - haha! Tyler kept us well informed and was very easy to deal with in every way. We will definitely come back - This was a fabulous stay!
Tyler did a tremendous job sitting Moose. I got at least a couple pictures per day and I can tell Moose had fun, and was safe. Tyler was so accommodating of my changing schedule, and was prepared at each hand-off. Communication was great overall. Thanks for keeping Moosey safe!
Tyler is an outstanding Rover host and has truly spoiled both our family and our two dogs! He’s extremely proactive with communication, keeping us updated with photos, videos, walks and playtime throughout their stay. We also appreciated his calm demeanor and his easygoing dog, Ava, who was a great companion for our pups. Tyler provides exceptional care from start to finish, and we look forward to booking with him again!
Addy had a great weekend with Tyler and his dog! Tyler provided me with great updates and took Addy on long trail walks and to the dog park. He was great to coordinate with and was super accommodating when our travel plans were delayed.
This is the second time we have left our dogs with Tyler! He was great giving them attention and exercise they need! Attends to all the personal needs! And gives lots of updates throughout the stay! Dogs always leave happy and tired!
Tyler sat for my dog for a week, and it was my first time using Rover so I was pretty anxious at first (leaving her with a “stranger”), but while I was actually gone, all my anxiety was eased! Tyler sent so many pictures, I felt like I was able to know how my pup was doing throughout each day. She had a great time with Tyler’s dog, Ava, who is so sweet, loving, and gentle (also great at sharing her treats and toys). Tyler took my dog on lots of walks, it’s evident that he knows a tired dog is a good dog! He was also very accommodating with my schedule for both drop off and pick up. I will definitely be seeking out his services again if I need!

Schedule
I work a flexible hybrid schedule, with a combination of working from home and in-office days. I’m available throughout the week and can adjust my work-from-home schedule from time to time around boarding stays. On days I’m away from home, I make sure dogs receive a midday break and plenty of attention before and after work. My large fenced backyard also provides lots of opportunities for fresh air, playtime and potty breaks.

I have a large, fully fenced backyard with plenty of room to explore, play and relax. My dog, Ava, is friendly and enjoys having canine guests. Dogs are treated like part of the household and, when appropriate, are welcome to relax and roam comfortably throughout my home. I can also accommodate crates and each dog’s normal routine when needed. Safety, comfort and making sure every dog feels at home are my priorities.

A typical day
A typical day starts with a morning walk followed by breakfast, backyard time and play or relaxation. My fenced yard has plenty of room to explore, with both sunny and shaded areas. Throughout the day there are potty breaks, playtime, attention and plenty of opportunities to relax. Depending on the dog’s normal routine and energy level, we’ll also take an afternoon or evening walk. Ava enjoys having other dogs around, and I tailor activities to each dog’s personality, age and energy level.
