Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I treat every pet as if they were my own and make safety my top priority. Whether I’m caring for animals in my client’s home or providing overnight stays, I follow these practices: •Secure Environment: I double-check doors, gates, and fences before and after visits, and keep leashes securely fastened during walks. •Health & Comfort: Fresh water, clean feeding areas, and daily litter box or yard checks are part of every visit. I monitor pets for any signs of stress or illness and communicate immediately if I notice anything unusual. •Respect for Your Home: I maintain your home’s routines and keep spaces tidy, following any instructions you provide for alarms, keys, or special access. •Personalized Care: I follow each pet’s established schedule for feeding, medications, and exercise so they feel safe and comfortable. •Transparent Communication: You’ll receive morning and nightly updates with photos and notes, so you always know how your furry family member is doing. If you require more than two updates, please communicate that with me and let me know how many you would like daily. My goal is to create a calm, predictable environment where pets feel secure and loved while you’re away.

This was my third time hiring Tyler to house-sit my house and two dogs. The first time was just a few hours and went great, second was a couple of days and went alright, this third was so strange and awful. Neither time was she communicative at all. I would maybe get a stray photo a day, no text updates, despite me asking for more photos and updates with this third hiring. She made me aware of plans she had one of the nights, but then left my dogs over 3 times longer than discussed and with zero communication. After being unresponsive for hours I asked if I needed to get a neighbor to take over the sit - she lost it. I was told that I was unprofessional and without trust we could not work together, and she said she would go back to my house to collect her things and leave. I reported her for abandonment of my dogs, to which she messaged me retaliating and provided me an unprovoked psychoanalysis of myself that I was "projecting" and being "emotionally manipulative." I honestly have no idea what happened, but I am out of the Country scrambling to make sure my dogs are taken care of. She admittedly overbooks herself, consistently shows up late, doesn't provide updates, and has her own dogs that she leaves bookings to go take care of. All in all, I do not understand the intent beyond greed that she then gets defensive about being called out on.
