Hi, I’m Tyler! I’m a programmer who works from home and has a deep love for dogs. I had a golden retriever named Zipper for 10 amazing years. Losing him was incredibly hard, and while I’m not ready to get another dog just yet, caring for other people’s dogs is a wonderful way for me to stay connected with animals I love.

I can't recommend Tyler enough! He treated my dog with so much love and patience, making sure she had long walks and plenty of playtime. He’s a true dog lover and it really shows!
Wow!!! Tyler is simply WOW!!! Such an amazing person and the most caring dog sitter there is! I just wish he was more available for us..... (He's booked. and rightfully so!) :) Our 15 year old dog Shusha can't wait to go back to him for another stay!
Tyler was great with Archie. Archie is currently on a lot of medication and Tyler handled it with ease. He was very communicative and sent a lot of cute photos. We are fortunate to have found him.
Tyler was prompt arriving and very professional. He stayed with our 6 month old Boston terrier and he kept her entertained and managed her puppy behaviour very well. I will definitely use him again.
Tyler is a wonderful human being and the dog whisperer for sure - he’s caring, professional, a great communicator- it was the first time I had ever left my little dog, Elton John. Tyler made it a seamless process from drop off to pick up. And he was accommodating- I took the later ferry and he stayed up, gave me a detailed account of Elton’s experience- I appreciated all of it. I will definitely book with him again- I don’t think Elton wanted to leave! Thank you Tyler- you’re the best! 🐶
We were so happy with how Tyler took care of our dog while we were out of town! He's attentive and knowledgable, and you can tell how much he loves and cares for dogs by the thought and effort that he puts in to make your pup feel at home, even when they're away from home. Schedule
I work from home as a programmer with very limited work hours, so I have a lot of free time in my schedule. I like to play chess online in the evenings, and I really only go out on Wednesday afternoon/evenings to the chess club, and am otherwise always home.

Safety, trust & environment
For boarding: I live in a 1,330 sq. ft. pet-friendly apartment. I got permission from my strata council to have a dog stay here. For boarding at my place, it is especially important that your dog does not bark or whine, and is well behaved (no bathroom accidents, chewing on furniture, etc.). For dog-sitting: I would kindly request that your house be clean upon my arrival, and I will return it just as clean upon my departure. My rates are for taking care of your dog. I'm happy to check the mail and do basic requests like this, but watering plants, mowing the lawn, cleaning the house (outside of my mess) is not within the services I provide. For both: I will be home nearly all the time except for 4 hours on Wednesdays and maybe 20m-1h some other days to go buy groceries or pick up food, etc.
A typical day
If I am dog walking, I am sure to allow your dog to enjoy the smells, investigate interesting sights and sounds, and explore. If dog sitting, I love to pet and cuddle, play their favourite games with them, but also let them have their alone time if that is what they want. I'll talk to them like a human and resist the urge of giving them too many treats.
