Growing up, I have done dog sitting for friends and family in my community back in Virginia. I’ve taken care of a wide variety of breeds and sizes with around 20 dogs I would take care of on a consistent basis. As a child, my family had a medium sized rescue mix who unfortunately passed when I was younger and since before Covid I ended up taking a previous client’s Chiweenie who unfortunately passed about 2 months ago at 15 from health complications with Cushing’s disease. Needless to say, I am a dog person who will love and spoil your dogs rotten.

I am flexible with a client’s wishes. In the past if the client has a fenced-in yard, I will let the dog out and play with them for extended periods of time. If there is no fenced-in area, I can take them on longer walks or let them out quickly depending on their activity level and client’s wishes. As for food and treats, I strictly follow the client’s instructions. When I am leaving for an extended period of time, I ensure the pet has access to water and if they graze on food, I will ensure that as well.

I can't say enought great things about Ty! He has taken care of my three Golden Retrievers for years. I had an elderly golden, a puppy and a middle aged fur baby. Ty gave regular updates, sent adorable pictures and made sure my senior dog received his medicine and extra care. Ty also got in the floor with my boys to play with them and love on them. Ty more than just watched my dogs, he truly loved them. When he moved out of state my fur boys lost a big brother! If you are looking for someone trustworthy, responsible and full of heart, I highly recommend Ty!
I have known Ty for many years, and he has always been not only caring for pets, but also intuitive about their needs. He makes a point to learn what is unique about each dog to help guide them gently and to meet them where they are. I am confident that he understands the challenges as well as the rewards involved with pet sitting, and he will make it a priority for you to feel comfortable to be away.
Ty is a very conscientious dog sitter. He and his family have done this all his life. He is the most attentive sitter and care giver I have ever seen. He loves and cares for your pet as though it were his own. Very attentive and keeps owner informed while they are away from their animals. His rates are well in line with other caregivers but he in my opinions exceeds the others by far. Can’t go wrong with Ty at Rover.com
Ty has watched our 55 pound black lab on numerous occasions. There’s nobody else that I would trust Pepper with the most that Ty. He’s so thoughtful and thorough in his approach to caring for Pepper! Very responsible and reliable!!

Schedule
I’m currently working part time during regular office hours for a student job. I try my absolute best to let my client’s dogs out at least once every 4-6 hours. My shifts are usually scheduled for 4-5 hours, however I can base the rest of my day’s schedule around the client/pets needs.
