Reconnecting Indigenous Queer
Listening is a science and art of healing. I learn daily by observing animals and nature. Throughout life and recent volunteer work at Oregon Humane Society (advancing toward red apron volunteer status for behavioral cases), I’ve developed the ability to read how our fur relatives communicate through body language and energy. Whether the animal is anxious, reactive, a senior, or a young one, I’ve learned through community to meet them where they are. Four-legged, winged, creepy or crawling have cared for me my whole life. My therapists to come back into my body and breath. I bring that reciprocal respect to each encounter - honoring individual needs live providing space and allowing them to guide our dynamic. Trust and safety is not built over night. And I’m in it for the long run.

Best Indigiqueer pet sitter in the pdx area I’ve been able to find! My service dog and kitten were well exercised, well fed, and well behaved when I got home. Although excited to see me, they obviously missed Tsïtsïki and we all look forward to our next booking with them!

I left my dog with Tsitsiki last minute for a work trip, and I loved and appreciated all the pictures and video updates! Its hard to leave my baby for a few days, but he was well taken care of and happy!

Schedule
Availability: Weekends fully available. Limited weekday mornings/evenings by arrangement(school.) Holidays are fully open. I’m flexible with timing to meet your needs - early morning, midday, or evening walks. Same-day bookings welcome when my schedule allows. I’m your neighbor here in Montavilla, so I’m nearby and responsive.

Walks, meals (optional) and care prioritize what your animal needs: sniffing time for mental enrichment, comfortable pacing, space to explore. I recognize stress signals and help dogs regulate when overwhelmed. Anxious dogs get calm consistency. Energetic dogs get engagement. Every walk, tailored. I also offer homemade dog food preparation, safely and with my Oregon food handler card. I work with all animal companions - anxious, reactive, young, seniors, special needs. I administer medications and maintain tidy spaces.
A typical day
I meet your dog where they are. I usually like to have a pen area for them to know that this space is there for them. We start with a calm greeting, letting them set the pace. Walks prioritize sniffing time and mental enrichment over rushing. I read body language constantly - if they’re anxious, we create calm with understanding. If they’re curious, we explore that and maybe head the other way. I provide fresh water, handle any medications, and leave detailed updates. Every interaction is intentional and tailored.
