Safety, trust & environment

I have a fully fenced yard that is 100% secure and is new as of 2024. I have 3 small mixed breed dogs (~15lbs), a Bernese mountain dog, and a small house rabbit within my home. The rabbit is within a pen and will come out for supervised run around time. So long as your dog cannot jump into her pen and is good with the other dogs, I am happy to have them in my home! All of my dogs are very well socialized and I have always been the pet sitting house for my friends and family. My youngest dog is kenneled during the day. My roommate also works from home and lets the dogs outside periodically throughout the day! As long as your dog is house trained and not known to be destructive, they can be free roam within a bedroom or kenneled throughout the day and let out periodically. For drop in visits or boarding within your house, I request to meet your dog first with you so that they may know me and it is less stressful and safer for me when entering into their space later! Positive reinforcement and association is how I work so treats will be had with your approval in case of allergies or dietary restrictions.

Information True E. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog resources guards over toys or food, special acclimations can be made to ensure they can still have fun while everyone in the household remains safe. Has your pet been boarded before? Do they do well with change? Is there anything off limits food wise or other?

A typical day

I live in a very walking friendly neighborhood and am two blocks from a small off leash park that I frequent with my reliable off-leash dogs! On days we’re not able to get out for physical exercise, I have a variety (and I mean A LOT) of puzzle toys, snuffle mats, and lick mats that are provided to the dogs for mental stimulation. My fenced in yard is a good size and the dogs will frequently have zoomies with plenty of room to run! I am a “dog in the bed person” so if you have a cuddle bug dog they will be well taken care of! Anything can be requested to help a dog stick with their routine while in my care!

Pet care experience

I’ve been working in the animal care industry since I could first have a job and have owned pets, of all kinds, my whole life! I work in animal control in a nearby county so I am dedicated to pets living their happiest lives ❤️ I have previous experience as a veterinary technician for several years and am highly capable and knowledgeable for any pet I am entrusted with. Nervous/scared dogs do not bother me and I know how to be safe and gentle with them. I have experience in medicating pets that are elderly or special needs. Reptiles and small animals don’t scare me and I love all the creepy crawlies! I am a rabbit owner so I am experienced in handling and can even help trim nails if needed (this goes for all pets). I have 4 dogs of my own and am happy to offer care from my own home to any friendly, small dog. Please reach out with any questions and we can discuss how to best and most safely care for your beloved pets! 💖 I am a queer woman and would love to work with other LGBTQIA 🏳️‍🌈 families!

True was great with my pup, Ozzy. She took the time to do a meet and greet before hand to make sure all of our dogs would get along, showed me her space, and was very communicative throughout. She sent me pics and videos, and had great communication with pick-up. I would highly recommend True to anyone looking for a sitter for their small dog!
