Safety, trust & environment

I will provide drop-in visits & walks for your animal(s) based on your needs & requirements. I understand that pets feel most comfortable in their own spaces & I am happy to help make sure they are safe and well. Depending on my availability, I do offer some boarding and house-sitting for existing clients, once we have been able to establish a trusting relationship. I am able to bring my own dog along on walks if your animal enjoys the company of other dogs. This is only done if requested and/or approved by the client. Dogs in our home will always be fed separately (to avoid any resource guarding issues) & are able to sleep where they are comfortable. We do have the ability to manage the space in our home (using baby gates) to ensure all animals feel safe and have their own space if they need it. We will only ever have a maximum of 3 dogs in our home at one time.

Information Trudy N. would like to know about your pet

It is important to know your pet's personality, schedule, cues they know, allergies, reactivities, preferences on going to the bathroom (mine used to only go on walks - lol!), etc. We do require a meet & greet in advance of providing any services. For boarding clients, meeting at a neutral location for slow and proper introductions work best for the dogs (and humans too!).

A typical day

I will base activities & walks on your dog's needs & your instructions. We enjoy playing brain games with dogs (e.g. learning new tricks, food puzzles/games, etc.), playing tug, tossing the ball, jogging, or just taking them out and letting them have a long sniffy walk. A typical day looks like: morning walk, breakfast, relax, outside break, enrichment, relax, lunch walk, snack, relax, post-work walk, dinner, relax, outside time or indoor play (dependent upon weather), night snack, bedtime.

Trudy has watched our dog Huey a few times now and we trust her completely. Huey adores her - she has such a calming presence for his separation anxiety while still making sure he has lots of fun. She sends great updates and photos and is always a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!

This was the first time I used this site and was nervous about leaving my brand new puppy with a stranger. Upon contacting a few potential sitters, Trudy reached out right away. She offered a meet and greet to make sure she was a good fit. She was! I left my Zoey overnight for a christmas party along with the next day for over 7 hours. She sent constant updates and photos and really made me feel alot of peace of mind knowing my puppy was in great hands! Thanks Trudy!

This was my first time leaving my dog for the weekend, and booking with Trudy gave me such peace of mind! I got lots of updates, photos, and my dog was so happy and tired after the weekend away. I was so appreciative of her care and attention to my dog this weekend :)
