I love animals and grew up taking care of dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, and fishes. I frequently pet sit for friends and Rover clients in DC, NYC, and now Jax with small, medium, and large dogs. I have cared for puppies and senior dogs and love them at whatever age they come to me at.

Troy was great with our senior dog! He house sat for us for a week and was communicative with needs and questions. Our pup can be anxious when we leave and he had no problems with Troy. Also, our place has never been so clean after a Rover stay. We would definitely recommend Troy!

Troy was great! I adopted a dog and needed a sitter to watch him while I get him used to being crated when I go to work. He took the last minute request, was responsive, and took great care of my Beau! He also reported on some of his behaviors for me which was very helpful. All in all a great sitter and I would absolutely leave Beau with him in the future!

Troy took wonderful care of Eevee and provided updates. She got plenty of cuddles and good walks while in his care. My little bub has separation anxiety so it was great to have someone with her during the day. I will absolutely book with him again if we are in the area!

Schedule
I’m currently working part time from home so I’m available all week long and have the flexibility to give your pets plenty of attention, bathroom breaks, walks, or whatever else they need.

I have a fairly large open apartment with easy sight lines so your pets will have plenty of space but where I can always keep an eye on them. I’m comfortable with pets on my furniture or bed so if they like to be snuggled, they will get plenty from me. If you prefer they be crated at night or sleep in a dog bed, there is plenty of space for me to accommodate that in my room or living room, whichever is preferred. I always try to maintain your pets’ existing schedules when it comes to feeding times, bathroom break frequency, and walk length/frequency. But I always like to ensure your dog gets plenty of outdoor time with multiple long walks each day and bathroom breaks at least in the morning, lunchtime, evening, and before bed. I like to let the dogs lead the direction of walks as much as possible and always make sure there’s lots of time for sniffing. If your dog likes to run, I’m happy to get a run in with them too.
A typical day
I’ll always try to match your/your dogs preferred level of activity. If they love longer walks with lots of sniffing, I’ll let them lead the way. I have a large park nearby that I know they’ll love to explore on walks with me. If they love to snuggle up on the couch and nap, they’ll have all they want. I’ll always build in time for playing with any toys or treat mazes you may send along with them. And if they love a bit of wrestling or practicing their tricks, I would love to do that with them too!
