Pet care experience
Your Pet’s Second Best Friend
From a very young age, I always wanted to be a veterinarian. Despite ultimately choosing a different position (education), I was able to spend one year while in high school working as a kennel attendant at a fast paced veterinarian clinic where I cared for dozens a pets boarding with us and assisted doctors with basic care tasks. Additionally, I have owned three cats in my life and three dogs, all being cared for and spoiled tremendously. Being a teacher, I’ve spent twenty years working in the structured, caring environment. and I bring that same patience and attention to every pet I care for. I understand that every dog (and cat!) has their own personality, routines, and needs and I take the time to get it right. Whether it’s a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight stay, I focus on making your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’m reliable, communicative, and I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos so you have peace of mind. I’d love to meet you and your pet!”

Ratings and reviews
Troy is one of the nicest, caring people I've ever met! Our dog, Maxie, is generally reticent about mingling with new people. Within a day or so, Troy and Maxie were good friends! Some people just have a way with dogs, and Troy is definitely one of them. Thank you, Troy, for taking such good care of our Maxie. We will definitely ask for your services again!

Troy was great, taking Koko for walks and feeding her twice a day, he sent me pictures of her in the morning and at night so I was really great full for that also,I highly recommend Troy for taking care of your fur friends, great experience!

Schedule
I work weekdays starting at 7am and am typically home before 3pm. I’m happy to board pets during the week as long as they’re comfortable being alone for that window of time. On weekends and holidays, I have full availability and can give your pet my complete attention. I’m also off during June and July, which allows for much more flexibility and extended care during the summer months. If your pet stays with me, they’ll be treated like family—getting plenty of walks, playtime, attention, and care throughout the day.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Your pet will be treated like family at my place, with lots of love, attention, and care. I own my home in a quiet neighborhood with a small dog park and easy access to walking trails, so there are plenty of opportunities for safe walks, playtime, and fresh air.
A typical day
A typical day is all about keeping your pet happy, active, and comfortable. We’ll go on walks around my quiet neighborhood or nearby trails, spend time playing, and of course have plenty of time to relax too. During the week, I’m home by the afternoon, so evenings are filled with attention and activity. On weekends and in the summer, I’m home much more, which means even more playtime, walks, and one-on-one care. I always adjust to your pet’s energy level, whether they love to play or just want to relax and be near someone.
