I’ve grown up with dogs and other pets my entire life and currently have a husky of my own, so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs with lots of energy, strong personalities, and specific routines. Having a husky has given me plenty of experience with daily exercise, long walks, basic training, grooming, and keeping an energetic dog happy and stimulated. I’ve also cared for pets for friends and family over the years, including both younger, high-energy dogs and older dogs who need a little more patience and attention. I’m comfortable following specific feeding schedules, administering basic medications, and adapting to each pet’s normal routine. As a former EMT and current PA student, I’m attentive to changes in behavior or health and comfortable staying calm if something unexpected happens. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and will treat your pet with the same care and attention I give my own.

I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet and home in someone else’s care. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely and try to keep each pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible, including feeding, walks, medications, exercise, and any house rules. I’m very mindful about keeping doors, gates, and yards secure, especially with pets that like to explore or make a run for it. I’ll also keep your home clean and tidy, bring in packages or mail, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you know how things are going. I’m happy to follow any specific instructions you have for your pet or home.

I have known Tristram for about a year and a half and have always found him to be responsible, respectful, and dependable. I would feel completely comfortable trusting him in my own home. He has personally cared for my pet, Luna, while I was away. He kept me updated on both Luna and my home, which gave me real peace of mind while traveling. He was attentive to her needs, followed her routine, and made sure she was safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Tristram is clean, considerate, and communicates clearly. He takes commitments seriously and would be respectful of any house rules, pet routines, or specific instructions an owner provides. Schedule
I’ll be on Oʻahu from October 18th through November 14th for one of my medical school clinical rotations in Kailua. During that time, I’ll have a fairly consistent clinical schedule, so pet care fits naturally into my mornings and evenings. I’ll be available for feeding, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention before and after my rotation each day, as well as more flexibility on my days off. Since I’ll be staying locally for the entire month, I’m also happy to work with your pet’s usual routine as much as possible.
