Pet care experience

Tell your dog I said, “Hi!”

Hi! I’m Tristen. I’ve been working with animals for over 10 years and currently work as a Veterinary Technician. I’m also a Certified Dog Trainer and an Elite Fear Free Certified Professional, which means your pets’ comfort, safety, and emotional well-being are always my top priority. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s truly my passion. I’ve dedicated my career and daily life to helping pets feel safe, understood, and loved. My experience in veterinary medicine also means I’m comfortable monitoring health concerns, administering medications, and recognizing when something may be off.

Schedule

Pet care is part of my everyday routine, and I’d love to welcome your pet into the fun! I have a Golden Retriever and a Dachshund who are always happy to have a buddy join us for walks. We often explore local trails for exercise and enrichment. If trail adventures aren’t the right fit for your pet, I’m happy to provide activities tailored specifically to their needs and personality. When your pet is with me, they’re treated like family. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry loved ones, and I strive to provide the same level of care and attention you would give them yourself.

Safety, trust & environment

While caring for your pet in your home, I do my best to follow their normal routine as closely as possible—feeding times, potty breaks, playtime, and more. My goal is to keep your best friend comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. Please let me know about any specific routines or needs so I can provide the best care possible.

Pets

A typical day

I love taking dogs on trail walks and have my car set up with a seat cover so we’re always ready for safe adventures. With owner approval, we may explore trails and enjoy a little mud or water along the way. Enrichment is very important to me, and I always tailor activities to each pet’s needs. Let’s talk about what will keep your best friend happiest while you’re away! 🐾

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
Spayed and neutered dogs only
No females in heat
Takes only 1 client at a time
Tristen can host up to 1 pet per night
Please let me know ahead of time about any behavioral, dietary, or medical needs your pet may have. While all dogs are good dogs, every pet has their own personality and comfort level. Some may be more protective of their home, some prefer meeting new friends outside the house, and others enjoy their own space. The more information you share about your pet, the better I can tailor my care to their needs. There’s truly no such thing as too much information when it comes to your pet’s well-being.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
