Pet care experience
I am back in the saddle!!!
I've taken care of more dogs and cats and reptiles and birds than I'm able to count, including my chocolate Lab, Atticus who passed away recently at the age of 13, and my current dogs, a brother and sister pair of Labs, Gabo and Ivy. I've also dog-sat and cat-sat for several neighbors and friends over the last five years. I love animals. When I was six years old I lead all the students of my K-8th Catholic school and their families in a boycott of Disney and its subsidiaries over their decision to serve shark-fin soup at Disneyland Hong Kong. Shark's fins were harvested in a cruel and unsustainable manner that I won't go into detail about here but if you can stomach it, look it up, it's appalling. Disneyland Hong Kong eventually caved and took shark-fin soup off the menu. When I was eleven, I used my political connections to get the Texas Senate to pass a resolution designating my grandfather's house a snake preserve and forbidding the killing of any snakes not posing a threat to a person or animal therein. Anyway what I'm getting at here is that I WILL take a bullet for your dog or cat if it comes to it. And if not, I'll clean up after it and play with it and feed it and all that stuff. I'm generally available every day. This is all I have going on right now, so I'm able to dedicate 100% of my time and attention to your friendly beast. I'll follow any and all instructions you need me to regarding your buddy's care. I'll be thorough, attentive and overall I'll be your dog or cat's cool uncle.

I was very happy with Tristan’s service at first. He watched my very difficult dog who has a lot of issues with a last minute notice. With saying that, there were a lot of problems and a lot of them I didn’t notice until I got back to my place. Tristan texted me Saturday morning what my ETA of arrival was even after I had told him multiple times on Friday that I would text him and let him know as soon as I got an estimate.
Great dog sitter. Our pups love when he visits!!

We had a last minute trip and luckily found Tristan! He was quick with responses and was very kind with our babies!

Tristan does a great job in walking Booji, he is consistent and punctual in his walks. I will definitely recommend him.

Tristan was amazing. Baby is not an easy dog to get to know. He did a tremendous job. Any time I need a sitter, Tristan will be the one I contact. He is very patient, caring and very considerate. He deserves a raise. Thank you for all of your assistance. Gail
When I scheduled a 9-day trip, the pool of available sitters were thin, I searched Rover for an over-night sitter for my pit-lab Nelson. came across Tristan profile, did the meet and greet and a demo walk , with time really not on my side I decided to go with Tristan, we agreed for Tristan to stay over-nights with my dog for the nine days at my place, and do morning and evening walks and feedings. There would be a gap in the day when my dog was alone,as Tristan would leave my place mid-morning and return around 4-6 pm then spend the nite, per agreement, so my daughter volunteered to do a mid-day drop in walk to break up Nelsons day. they would communicate with each other thru text, first few days were going ok i suppose there was not much feedback unless i initiated the text on checking in on welfare of both. on the fifth day however, She came to my house to walk him, only to find my front door 3-4 inches open, and Nelson was sitting inside by the door. My Daughter went into panic mode , took Nelson and his food , and left, thinking maybe a burglar was in there, so she called me , I got hold of Tristan by phone , turns out he was still at my place and had left the door open, he was professional and apologized, I appreciated he was not Defensive or combative in any way, From there i asked him to give the keys to my neighbor who was outside, and i'll find an alternate to finish Nelsons care. I should preface by saying that my dog will take any chance to run off, he's an escape artist and is extremely animal-reactive. All of which was clearly discussed with Tristan. Though I am very thankful that Nelson did not run off - the results could have been catastrophic if he had. I live on a very busy road, so likely he would have been hit by a car before anything else happened. This caused both me and my daughter major anxiety and stress to find someone who could look after Nelson for the remaining 5 days. It took a toll on my trip, and was unnecessary stress for Nelson to move from place to place. Very disappointing. I don't want to think too much about what could have happened had my daughter not shown up when she did - but I do want to write this review in case it will protect any of your dogs from being at risk of running away. This experience was not a good one, and I my only goal in writing this is to save anyone else this stress. In closing I do believe Tristan has learned a great deal from this , and feel he will succeed as rover rep. as i do understand everyone makes mistakes , and when we learn from them we can advance. in the end i came back to a healthy happy Nelson for that I'm grateful , and I'd credit the first 5 days to Tristan .
